Let me expand on this! Imagine this parents, if your daughter is a Post player, and you live in Sumner Co, there would be benefits to moving to MJ. 1) you don't have to make that commute on I65 anymore, even though I40 is messed up too, it will be completed before I65. 2) You have a better chance at watching your daughter play in Murfreesboro, in March. 3) better chance at a college scholarship. The reason I find most attractive is number 1, I could not imagine having to drive down I65 everyday, in addition Sumner Co seems so crowded. Now having said that, let me put a disclaimer on this, I am not a MJ alumni, a teacher, coach, administrator nor do I have a daughter that goes there. But if my daughter was a post player, and I lived in Sumner Co. I would move to Mj of course she would have to like to run, because they do alot of that.

Maybe MJ can get a post player to transfer out of Sumner co!

At first, this thread was hard to take seriously, you know what? It is still hard to take serious. Some people get on here, they don't have a HS diploma, but some have one, some only have a GED, some have a bachlors, some have a masters, some even have a doctorate. Now, what brings us all together on Coach T? HS SPORTS!! We are here to BS about our favorite team. Coach T, this is a great site, thank you for your work.

I think it may be close. Hendersonville would need to win this though, to prove they belong in the upper level of the district. I will go with MJ by 9!

Yes, that is true, but they are a true top ten team. I don't see how they are considered overated. If they do not finish as state champion, does that mean they are over-rated? I think they are a true top ten team, and they have a good shot to come out of 9AAA as one of the top two teams. I can tell you this, no-one on the Bears think they are over-rated, coaches or players. Friday they came out, and gave a big time performance, just came up short. MJ knows they won a big game, and they know that they will probably have to do it again. I am no Smyrna fan, but I cannot see how someone can call them over-rated. Hey, where are the bulldog fans? If they were my team, I would really cut loose on this subject.

They are in 9AAA the toughest of them all, and I think they have done well. Even though I pull for MJ, I still have a great deal of respect for Smyrna. I think 9 AAA is up in the air for 4 teams, MJ, WC, Smyrna and don't count out Hendersonville. I just don't see where Smyrna is over-rated at all. They may or may not make it to state, but they are a good basketball team. Now are they number 1? Is WC number 1? I think this will be decided in the next 6 weeks.

Is Coach Sharpe going to coach them next year? Or will they be looking for a new coach after the season?

Coach Fryer stuck with the press, and showed great confidence in his young players. It was nice to see Heather get out there, and yes it is obvious Christian Gibson is a true leader. A very good game to watch! I did see the Smyrna guy that talks so much, but for some reason he was subdued ( hope I spelled that right).

MJ wins, and it was a great ballgame. Both teams played great, but I thought the officiating was very inconsistant. I think the talk of Smryna being over-rated is nonsense. I thought MJ has a deeper bench, this was probably the difference.

I agree! no need to bash the kids or get personal. it is obvious some people get on these boards with an agenda. We can build the kids up, and recognize good play, no matter the school, but the harsh, negative stuff doesn't belong. A good debate is fun, if it doesn't get nasty. This post was started for positive opinions on young players that are helping their teams.

I agree, I picked them to upset Wilson Central, came close. I think tourney time, they can win one they are not supposed to.

I think Friendship Christian is better than their record (7-13). They have played a pretty tough schedule. They play a lot of young girls, they are athletic, have size,depth and are very well coached. I think they could knock off a high seeded district team come tourney time.
