  1. so now that harpeth has advanced, where will they play their sectional game. Not at harpeth, gym is too small. Fairview or Creek Wood? Also does any one know what the all region team looked like.
  2. Definitely no one expected to see these two teams playing each other this early. Both are very strong. Unforunately only one can advance. Good luck to both.
  3. Your exactly right. It looked like Creek Wood wanted it more. As far as Petty goes, she may be the most over looked player in this district. Last two games a combined 45 pts. and has pretty much been unstoppable. Last night Harpeth double team her w/ Ensminger and Richardson and she still dropped 22 on them. We will have to wait and see if she has anything left for Sycamore tonight.
  4. You and everyone else. Apparently, Harpeth forgot the #1 rule in sports, "NEVER UNDERESTIMATE ANY OPPONENT". IMO once Cheatham had lost to Waverly, Harpeth thought that they had first locked up. On the other hand, Creek Wood appeared to be focused and very poised. Petty and Adams played like leaders and got good help from those around them, including some BIG free throws by freshman Breeden. Hopefully tonight's championship game will be a good one. Sycamore (3) vs. Creek Wood (4), who would have thought it. (Def. not Harpeth).
  5. Montgomery Central lost to Creek Wood last night. The way they talked, if CW beats Waverly(game to be played Wednesday), then CW would host Fairview in first round.
  6. Of course you were. Hard to do that when you don't even know which one is Brison. IMO, if you want a MVP that puts up big #'s night in/out in the scoring column you have to go with Haroeth's Mendenhall. If you want someone who makes her team better every moment she is on the floor, you have to look at Lawson (CC), Ensminger (Harpeth), Petty (CW) or Brison (Fairview). It comes down to what you think a MVP should be.
  7. There is one mistake here. Creek Wood stands at 4-5 in district play. They have beaten Stewart Co. twice, Waverly and Fairview.
  8. Cheatham loss some big time players last year. Although they may not be as strong as last year, Harpeth better play heads up.
  9. I,ve seen several games this year were a ref will continue to count as an offensive player is attacking the basket. I was my thought that once in the lane or below the extended foul line (attacking) the count stopped. Was I mistaken?
  10. Could someone tell me if the 5 second rule has changed this year?
  11. COLUMBIA IS TOUGH. SHOULD BE THE BEST TEST HARPETH WILL HAVE THIS YEAR. COLUMBIA IN A CLOSE ONE.
  12. CREEK WOOD HAS A SHOT AT THE TOP FOUR. THEY LOST TO HARPETH TWICE, LOST EARLIER THIS YEAR TO SYCAMORE BY 2 AT HOME, HAS YET TO PLAY CHEATHAM, AND BEAT FAIRVIEW ONCE ALREADY. IF PETTY,ADAMS AND FAYETTE CAN CONTINUE TO PLAY WELL, THEY HAVE AS GOOD OF A SHOT AS ANYONE ELSE. THIS GAME COULD BE A MAKE OR BREAK GAME FOR BOTH TEAMS, BUT DEFINITELY FOR THE LADY RED HAWKS.
  13. This one could be interesting. Creek Wood has to play well. They were not able to stop lil Ellis at CW earlier this year. (Hint: She only goes LEFT). As for their five in -five out. Their coach is an idiot. Why would you not get all you could get out of their big post (Adams), their experienced senior pt. guard (Petty), and shooter(#3)all of the time. This "strategy" has bitten CW more than once this year.
  14. I heard over the weekend that one of the girls may have torn an ACL in Friday night's game. Does anybody know if this is true or not?
  15. Which teams have done better than expected? or have not faired as well as they had been expected to?
