  1. Look pal, you made the "ignorant" comment about other teams in region nine not looking for tougher competition and you have zero knowledge about their schedules. I made no statement about how tough our region is, only that we are doing what we can to get better. Something must have worked, this is the first year Harpeth went to the state tournament. We are not a big school and are without a long-standing wrestling traditon, but are seeking tougher competition. It may be your style to call people out, call a particular region weak, and then boast when you think you have gotten it right(wow that sounds like great personality traits), but I would think a fellow fan of wrestling wouldn't have to put someone else down to make himself or another region look better.
  2. I agree Coach Jordan has done an excellent job at CHS, but the comment about other schools in our region not seeking tough competition is wrong. As far as serving our country, I do apprecitiate that, I served our beloved country for thirteen years including the first war in Iraq and I think I've earned a right to sit in my butt and read schedules. Good luck to all those wrestlers representing Region 9, your hard work and perserverance has paid off.
  3. CHS will dominate this competition because they seek out tough competition all year, unlike the other teams. Very obvious you do not know what you're talking about, have you ever seen the schedule of the other teams in this region. Give the credit to Coach Jordan and his program, but educate yourself before you make any more ignorant comments. There are some very good wreslters in this region and they didn't get that way by dodging tough competition.
  4. I'd like to thank Coach Woods for the countless hours he spends with our wrestlers and for traveling to all of the AAU events and National tournaments with my family. We sat there Saturday and watched the East Lit. / Greenback match and were commenting on the outstanding coaching staff that all of the teams at the state duals had and for one man to do all that he does, well it's indescribable. And for that matter, thanks to all those who unselfishly devote their time to our kids, you are making difference in their lives.
  5. [ Also the one team know has talked about on here is Harpeth. Harpeth was giving up 18pts per match and came close to beating East Lit and was ahead of ND until they gave up the 18 points. If this team can get some big boys out they could become a force in AA. Thanks for the compliment Rigger, our boys wrestled hard Saturday and performed well. We defintely struggle giving up 18 a match. We had East Lit. on the ropes and one of our boys got hurt earlier and we forfeited another match and gave them 24 to start and lost 40 to 33. It was a big accomplishment just to have the success we've had. We have been injured all year and trying to develope our younger guys. We are in the midst of raising money to build a wrestling building and our guys have been bumped from classroom to cafeteria for the last six years. Please pray for our program as continue the fund raising to give the boys a facility they can be proud of, we lose only two seniors, my son being one, but I will continue to support our program for years to come. Hope to see you guys in Chattanooga.
  6. And after all these years, we in Nashvegas thought the move was called cow tippin' not cow catcher. The secret is out.
  7. Congratulations to Harpeth and Cheatham County. I'm not sure what section, maybe IV.
  8. Looks good, the only change, Harpeth placed 6th. I think they beat Halls day one.
  9. werazzlin, Hows that stud freshman of yours? Hope he's coming along good. It'll be good be good to see you guys at Harpeth Saturday.
  10. I'm pretty sure he wrestled only freshmen that tournament and probably wrestled some very good upper classmen in the Tennessee State Tournament. This was a very big achievement.
  11. There are a few of guys from Tennessee that have their wrestling matches posted at www.flowrestling.com from the NHSCA Tournament, Sean Ford(125),Josh Pyrdum(135) and Ryan Konz(140). All of the junior wretlers from Tennessee have represented our state well, as well as the freshmen and sophomores. All of the braket information is here as well.
  12. Thanks for the info, hope you will post the seeds when you get them.
  13. I would have loved to attend the state duals. My son wrestles and we love the sport, but my daughter plays baketball and we live in Nashville. I'm sure there are alot of other families with the same circumstance. If the duals were held in Nashville, we would have been there for most of it. Not sure how you fix that issue. The Belmont arena sounds like a great idea. It would help the sport if we were to get some local news coverage in Nashville for the state duals.
  14. Sorry to hear that. He is a good wrestler, I know you guys are looking forward to getting him back. Hope it's soon.
  15. Is Gabriel still wrestling for Independence? How is he doing this year?
