PurpleGrad, your belittling comments never cease to amaze me! I am proud of where I live and I??™m not afraid to voice my opinion on here from time to time. Most Tiger fans probably choose not to post because of comments made by posters like you. As for Friday night, go ahead and write us off. I am sure Tyner had you wrote off last Friday also!! Win, lose, or draw, I will be there to support the Tigers!

After Friday night??™s game against Lookout Valley, we added a new definition to the word ???Frustration???! Coaches, Players we are Jasper??™s Homecoming! Not to mention a county rival game. If you can??™t get up and play for these reasons, I have no idea what it will take to get you motivated. It time for this team to step it up!

I think Grace will battle David Brainerd for the 4th spot, while Whitwell and Silverdale battle for the 2nd spot.

You are right Whitwell is proud of its town as we should be! Our football team is looking better and we will sneak up on some people this year.

Whitwell started off week 0 with a win over Scottsboro Christian. Not a powerhouse by any means but we did play inspired! Grundy will be a tougher team, but if we come out and play like we can, I believe we will come out on top! This new coaching staff seems to have the boy playing better. Whitwell 26 Grundy 12

You are correct it was 7 and I agree with the comment by one poster that the Tigers looked uninspired. I didn't expect the Tigers to be world beaters, but I did expect them to hustle and play together. This was an embarrassing performance by the Tigers. These new Tiger coaches better get to work or its going to be a longgggggggg year!

Talkitup, I don't think anyone is trying to run him off. Most of us are just wondering why there wasn't any effort in putting out the coaching notice and seeing how many people a were interested. Mr Thacker has the job and I will support him 100%, but I do expect us to start being competitive! Losing should not be acceptable. Go Tigers!

I know of Mr Thacker a little. How much High School coaching has he done. I don't know all the players that have played at jasper, but I can't remember him playing. Someone told me he played for Coach Roberts when he was coaching Basketball. What position did he play? What years? What kind of team leader was he? I also heard he will be an assistant football coach. Did he play football at Jasper? Maybe someone from Jasper can answer my questions. I hope he does well, but being a Tiger fan I am concerned. How come we never post these openings and put together a group for filling these head coaching positions? It seems when South Pittsburg or Jasper is hunting for head coaches, they always do interviewing. I am tired of .500 and below records. We are competitive in girls sports and we should compete in boys. Go Tigers!

What about the Tigers new boys coaching staff? All Marion County High School alumni. New Head Football Coach Tim Taylor, New Head Basketball Coach/ Assistant Football Coach Heath Thacker, and New Head Baseball/Assistant Football Coach Scott Barton. I hope this works out for my Tigers.

You two need to get a life. WHS has done nothing wrong. Go ahead and print what ever you want. None of the Whitwell faithfull, of the threads I have been reading, have posted nothing negative on anyone. You two must be a little worried because ya'll continue to feel the need drag out Whitwell and Cheating in other threads. Zone Pirate, Does SP recruitt? It kinda looks that way from the North End of the County! Keep working Tigers! Your effort will pay off.

PurpleGrad, If my mind serves me correct, Jasper has a 1 game winning streak going against us? This isn't the 90's anymore and You need to bring that nose back down to ground level. Were coming to win and we won't have to sneak in to do it. But you just keeping looking at us as no competition, that will work to our advantage.

This game will allow the Tigers to earn the respect they deserve!!! Jasper better get ready for some ball contol, smash mouth football!!!!! The Tigers are for real this year! Theres going to be a Hawg slaughter in Jasper Friday night!!!!
