in the kind of situation that blackman is in...2-1 after a poor performance and very poor on defense...is when the teams favorite drink starts being passed out continuously...it's called "SHADORADE"...it taste bad but sort of works like popeye's spinach does...it turns young boys into MEN! this is not panic time for sure...shad has been here with teams before and he knows what to do! but i think there is and should be concern of the defensive side of the ball...the loss of 10 starters on defense showed up big on friday night and not many of the guys stepping up to hit someone in the mouth...offensively we had 475 total yards...tyler played one of his best games...if he continues to do that...offensively we will be fine...but this could be a LONG AND BAD year if our defense does not move forward ALOT...

if franklin has not improved it's team speed and size...siegel wins this one! last years team was one of the slowest and smallest 6A teams i have seen in the last 7 years! hopefully they have improved and good luck to both teams...but GO 7AAA!

well if that is the case...then i certainly apologize... sometimes the "typed" word does not translate well... i just take an offense to teenagers getting slammed on the internet by no names and even more so now since my son josh got slammed by a guy when he hurt his ankle and could not wrestle in the state tourney... i'll let yall figure out who is what and what is who... as a wrestlers dad, i'm glad he did what he did. he did not make excuses...he gave his opponent a double thumbs up...he wished the other wrestler well...and said it was gut check time for his son... now if you have the ability to see down into someone's heart and know their motivation...then maybe you can come up with some of stuff you typed above...BUT YOU CAN'T SEE INTO SOMEONE'S HEART...and therefore you don't know what they were thinking or what their motivation was... personally i am glad that he updated us on goose because i had heard several rumors about him being in the hospital...so it was good to get the information from the horses mouth...it felt more like an espn news report on an athlete's status before the game...it happens all the time but in this case it's the dad who is reporting... a big congradulation to Eric Ferbaucher of Blackman...125lbs for his win in the semi's over Bradley Central's STUD and two time state champion Ethan Hames... a big upset against a guy who has established himself as one of the best over the last few years...good luck in the finals tomorrow...Mr. Hames has won with class and today also lost with class even in his disappointment...good luck to you as well!...

he is not my boy...i am not his dad nor his coach...just a parent who has a son on the team... and your name is??? your words hold no weight of credibility until you put your name on here... one more time...i've seen the kid wrestle nearly 40 matches and not one ref has called him for anything illegal...not one...so my view plus ALL the refs views who called his 40 matches verses your view...it's not hard to figure out who's word to trust... what more do you want from the kid? he got called guilty at the state duals and he is sitting home this weekend....and you keep slamming him on the internet...

how does it make one feel to slander a 16 year old on a public forum while hiding behind a screen name???... i've watched the kid wrestle over 40 matches without even one penalty or foul...he's a good kid...and a 1st year wrestler who is still learning how to wrestle...and even though i do not think he should have been called for a flagrant foul...i do think he probably panicked when he got on his back... he's paying for what he was called for...why would you want to add insult to injury??? and then accusing our coach of approving something that you deemed wrong??? that is low blow # 2! ... but i guess since you said it...that is the way it is... put your name on here and then it will give us a chance to see if your comments have any validity... to oneblindref... you sir are wrong...i was there as well and it was not a punch...the ref told our coaches it was an elbow and the coaches told me what he said... you are also wrong...the ref who made the call during the 112lbs blackman vs mt. juliet match was named kyle...i know kyle personally and he is a good man and a good ref and i have enjoyed getting to know him over the last 6 years...but he made the wrong call here in my opinion...i'm sure he saw it differently...but it happened...no hard feelings toward kyle...we'll see each other working out and we'll enjoy chatting as we always do... i would agree with other post above...there were other calls that should/could have been made here such as a warning...un-sportsman like...unnecessary roughness...etc...instead of the flagrant call that affected so many ... and anyone who knows me knows i'm not a ref basher...check my 1200 plus post and you'll see that to be true...but like us all...sometimes we skin our knee ! PBD

i was told that riverdale guys going no where as of now...maybe later no word on qb/athlete grooms fro LaVergne...not sure he got any offers... and Dunaway as of today is going no where...

i want to "bump" this up so others will remember to write a letter and send it to me via my email...as i said before, when i meet with mr. gill, i will simply hand him the letters (hopefully 100's of them) so he can see what others think of Hamm...i just feel that the punishment...(never being able to coach again in rutherford county) is way to severe for what he did...so i will be certainly asking for mercy and to allow hamm to take the same trainning classes that teachers take for social media and for him to be out of coaching until sept.1st, 2011...your letters (in great numbers) will just help to give credibility to him as a person...thanks! I will be setting an appointment with the School board in the near future to get Coach Hamm re-instated for next year...to coach at Blackman! In light of that...i want 100's of letter's to take with me to show what the wrestling community thinks of Coach Hamm...
