  7. In bottom of the 2nd ..Minor just called for balk ...2 outs ...score 0-0
  8. Score update..... 0-0 Bottom of the 2nd ...both pitchers doing a great job. Hayes pitching for McKenzie and Minor for Forrest. Hayes now has 4 strike outs in 2 innings. Minor has 1 strike out .... McKenzie has a man on 1st due to error.
  9. Should be a great game and congrats to both teams for winning their way to the State Championship. I have not seen McKenzie play so i know nothing about their team or their pitching. But if they have made it to the final they deserve to be there for sure. I have, on the other hand, seen Forrest play when they Played NCS for the region semis and they pitched Skelley. I also watched Summertown when NCS played them for the sectional game that sent them to the state. The most impressive team NCS played all year was Forrest by a long shot. I have not seen Minor pitch but I have followed his last two years at Forrest. In order to beat Forrest when Minor pitches you have to score runs ....and I just don't see anyone in single A scoring that many runs off Minor. I understand McKenzie scored lots of runs against Stown yesterday but trust me that doesn't mean anything when it comes to Forrest. These two teams are nothing alike in any way. At least that is my observation from seeing them both play. I look for Forrest to win by 5-6 mainly due to the fact that McKenzie will find it difficult if not impossible to score runs on Minor. Good luck to both teams and again ....congrats on getting to the finals ...you have made your schools and local communities very proud I'm sure.
  10. Forrest win 12-0 ....looks like Summertown is getting killed by McKenzie ...last time i saw a score it was 12-1 or close to it.
  11. Minor just hit his second 2 run HR of the day. Forrest leads 12-0 in the top of the 6th. Going into the bottom of the 6th.
  12. Minor just hit a 2 run HR makes it 8-0 Forrest in the top of the 5th. Makes 8 HR's for Forrest in the tournament which they are saying is a state record. Forrest has hit 3 HR's today. Minor, Hammond and Lamb.
  13. Forrest up 6-0 still in top of the 4th. Huntingdon now changing pitchers and taking Burke out.
  14. Forrest now leads 4-0 in the top of the 4th after a 2 run HR by Hammond with Minor on base.
  15. Forrest/Huntingdon in the bottom of the 3rd. Forrest up 2-0. This game has been going for a while...start time was a little after 4:00
  16. Top of the 3rd Forrest leads 2-0 HR in this inning by Lamb.
  17. I know you are probably a Huntingdon fan and are not that familiar with Forrest but don't make the mistake in thinking too big here. Forrest is the real deal. I understand that your comment regarding Huntingdon pitcher Clifft is that he throws in the " mid 80's" . If he is your #2 pitcher and throws in the mid 80's what does your #1 pitcher hit on the gun. After seeing Skelley pitch in the region and hearing from several sources about Minor and how deep they go in the rotation , I wouldn't put much faith in pulling ahead several runs early. I wish you luck cause i am originally from around your area and my mother was from Huntingdon but trust me ....Forrest is a very good baseball team ...all around depth. Your going to need your best effort of the year to win this one. And even that might not get it done.
  18. As of last night ...it was announced at the end of the NCS/Cascade game that Weds game would start at 5:00pm at NCS. Looking forward to playing you guys. Trust me ...the players and coaches at NCS are aware of how good Clinard can be over the next couple of years. We faced him twice this year and split with him. He can be special if his coach protects his arm. East Robertson was good this year and wil lbe better next year. Congrats on your success this year East Robertson look forward to nest season with you guys in 10A. Hope to see some of you guys down at NCS on Weds to watch the game and support 10A.
  19. As I understand it ...as long as NCS wins they will continue to host the games.
  20. When you are as good as Minor apparently is you can expect to have a small strike zone being called. With all the publicity Forrest is getting and Minor has been given the umps are going to make him work for strikes. And from what i can tell he usually earns his wins regardless of what the umps gives him. Just curious here ...this is the second or third post making reference that someone is looking past Cascade and for the life of me i can't figure out why they think anyone is looking past Cascade. If anyone is looking past the first game played in the region then they are making a huge giant mistake ..no matter who they are playing. Everyone knows that Forrest is loaded with pitching ....that is no secret. I am sure Cascade is a very good team or they wouldn't be in the region ...but make no mistake ...NCS and East Robertson have good teams also. Should be good baseball ....at this point in the playoffs people that are stil lplaying deserve to be there. Good luck to everyone next week.

    District 10A

Eastbaseball as far as I know its one and out in the region. Congrats on your play in the championship game. 3 for 3 wasn't it ? Good luck to you guys at Forrest, your right they are apparently a very good team with two or more great pitchers. Incredible a 1A team can have pitching like that but more power to them ...they seem to be killing folks in 9A for sure. Good luck to you guys ....you will represent district 10A well i'm sure.
  22. East , sounds like it was a good game for sure. I'm really not sure how the standing are at this point either. Yesterday I was told that Houston Co's record going into the double header with NCS was actually 8-3 and they had another game left to play against CA. So if that is true, 2nd seed is still up for grabs between CA and Jo Byrns ...CA is now 9-4 and Houston Co is 8-5. The only thing I am sure of at this point is that NCS has 1st place locked up after the two wins yesterday but there is still a question about who the #2,3 and 4 teams will be plus if Houston Co were to lose the CA game that would tie them up with you guys at 8-6. Its crazy that so many teams can be affected by the playing of the very last game of the season. It certainly would help if someone from CA or Houston Co would comment or fix the schedules and bring everyone up to date ....but after numerous requests from several people on here its looks as though neither team is interested in making their records known for some reason. One thing is for sure ....we will all know how it stands by Thursday morning at the coaches meeting. Look forward to seeing you guys at NCS on Saturday.
  23. Thanks East...that explains East Lit schedule. This year is by far the tightest race for seeds I can remember in 10A. Should be a great district tournament and games people from all over should want to see. Oh by the way.....not sure who you were in the group of kids from East Robertson at the Jo Byrns game but I heard good comments about how nice you guys were that day. Its nice to see other players from other schools have that kind of interest. Plus it was a good game wasn't it.
  24. Thanks neutralfan that took some work to figure that all out. I got dizzy just reading it . Question....according to your figures ...and believe me I think they are correct as far as i can tell. East Lit has played 13 games ...who do they have left to play if NCS plays Houston Co twice on Monday and East Robertson plays CA to complete their seasons. And Jo Byrns,WHH and McEwen have completed theirs then East Lit must be finished as well. Just curious as to how they ended up. Thanks again for your work on this ....sure does gets crazy with all the scenerios ..huh. All it tells me is that NCS better just win both games with Houston Co.
