  1. Dontay Hampton from Arts and Sciences has a shot....hes already had i think four double doubles this season..
  2. does anybody kno the final of the howard redbank game????
  3. oh and about that all i did was ask why you werent running in races...
  4. actually the goal of my first post on this board was to say that mcduffie is suspended....and by the way from mccallie red bank beat baylor in a close one.....
  5. oh you just know everything huh?? we should get stump the schwab back on tv just so you can win it....even better we could just get that chattanooga high school edition going im sure espn would be all over that...theyd do anything for the great sports mind of coniglio
  6. the next few weeks will be rough for redbank until benford comes back...and right now dominique mcduffie is suspended...for two weeks i believe....but with it being break im not sure when that technically starts...
  7. Temple most definitely will not make it to the buro this year...especcially now that their number two player (Andrews) is out for the year....even with him they werent lookin to strong...in single A....the only two that have a chance from chattanooga are Arts and Sciences def., and maybe grace...maybe...but temple is not even in the question this year if you ask me...next year yes....but def. not this season...
  8. thats a huge loss...with andrews out now Sexton is going to have to carry this team on his shoulders if they want to get anywhere, kemp is going to have to step it up big time as well....if this doesnt happen i can see even 21st century surpassing them in the region maybe even south pitt...its doubtful but if temple doesntfigure out something quick it could be headed in that direction...
  9. jurick only had four of east ridges 25 points against csas....and ball was on jurick ball is decent but i would like to think that mcmasters would be more capable of over powering jurick....plus i dnt think any of the players on the east ridge back court can play with brandon herman....i think grace wins by at least 25....
  10. 1943 Central 1947 Soddy-Daisy 1968, 1969, 1972 Riverside 1984, 1988, 1992 Brainerd 1996 Boyd Buchanan 2001 Chattanooga Christian 2002, 2003, and last season (2007) Temple so i would say last season was pretty recent....Chattanooga with at least one in every decade...except the fifties shux....sadly the number of runner-ups surpasses the number of champions...with 15 runner-ups....and all of this isnt including the surrounding area schools like bradley central, cleveland, and sweetwater....because all three have one or the other or both...
  11. i completly agree....i would take hampton over sexton any day....hampton no matter what the score gives 110%....at some points it looked like sexton just quit and didnt really care.....hampton plays with much more passion and is just as talented as sexton....Hampton was only 1 steal short of a triple-double.....to me he is the most valuable player in chattanooga single A....mcmasters has the tools and sexton definitly has the talent...but hampton has a drive that neither one of them have.....
  12. ive seen both play and i think arts and sciences wins by at least 10.....the arts and sciences bench and starting backcourt has a huge advantage over temples....i agree with legend as far as i can tell temple only has three guys that can control a game arts and sciences probably has six or seven all of those beings guards three of whom come off the bench....especcially this friday with johnson being healthy again as he obviously proved with his four threes in his first appearance, practice or other wise on the court since early in the summer..granted it was richard hardy but a threes a three.....and deere is finally back to full playing time...so basically we're looking at AS's 7 play makers to temples three...and as far as the post goes the AS big men are much more effective on D...not so much on offense because they only play one at a time pretty much....final will end up bein around 76-66 or something around that... it could be worse than that if temple runs a man....
  13. foster has the build obviously but he is the most un-coordinated person on the team....he is not very basketball smart on top of that....not saying he cant be useful because he can pull down a rebound but besides that.....there is no real need for and to put him in on mcmasters would have been a huge mistake...
  14. i think its going to be a better game than everyone thinks.....its essentially going to come down to temples supporting cast because jeremy sexton will do his job and brian andrews will do his job but everyone else is up in the air against the as squad...im assuming sexton will be on hampton....andrews on cobb....and im guessing that will leave kemp on mckoy if they dont play a zone which would be a good idea because the first two matchups could be even but mckoy could have a career game on kemp....so it all depends but i think it will be a heck of a game because by then M.johnson (last years team leader in 3 pointers) is back from an injury and deere should be back to full playing time by then....im going to say AS should win this game by a lot but there is not a real good history with temple....i cant wait for this one though....because you know AS hasnt forgot that embarrassing series of games against temple last year...
  15. yeah my bad i didnt mean it as he was getting over him....i was just sayin that hampton had more rebounds than mcmasters seeing as there is a gigantic height difference between the two.....to be statistically correct hampton had 15 rebounds mcmasters had 11....
  16. no out of the starting 5 ball is definitely the last scoring option....as far as Arts and Sciences goes offense in the post is not a factor at all.....all their big men are primarily defensive weapons....Ball is there for rebounds and as you said passing to the guards on cuts to the basket....
  17. ball is always labeled as 6'7 but thats being generous....watching him against mcmasters the height difference is major....i expect mcmasters to get at least 8 blocks the majority of AS is under 6ft tall....then the only ones within 5 inches of Ball are foster and maybe townsend but townsend isnt a post player..that being said 18 points isnt that big of a deal considering the amount of shots he took...im not saying he didnt get the stats because he did but i think he could have done so much better than he did....he just didnt really look like he cared as much as he used to... and i would hardly say he "owned" the boards...hampton was getting rebounds over him al night ad he is at least 9 inches shorter at least....
  18. the one where his team lost....
  19. the actual score was 69 - 57.....but what ever.... Grace didn't get within double digits after about two min into the second quarter.....at one point in the second half AS led by 24.....Cobb, Hampton, and Mckoy all played incredibly....mcmasters wasn't much....it didn't really looked like he cared though I'm not sure of his stats....he was probably their top scorer but overall he wasn't there....Hampton was absolutely incredible he was all over the court and he got his own rebound just about every time he missed.....and on top of that AS was killing from the three point line....only a twelve point win but AS absolutely dominated this game....but I'm sure grace will step it up come region tourney but they most definitely wont win at third street....
  20. until your school has the highest test scores and graduation rate in the county, as well as success in every sport lay off the "Arts and Crafts" jokes....its old and disrespectful......
  21. 1. Darius Ricks - Howard 2. Dominique Taylor - Howard 3. Dominique Mcduffie - Red Bank 4. Dontay Hampton - Arts and Sciences 5. Carter Mcmasters - Grace 6. Jeremy Sexton - Temple 7. Tim Benford - Red Bank 8. Brandon Herman - Grace 9. Stephen Cook - CCS 10. Hassan Cobb - Arts and Sciences
  22. grace doesent have the chemistry....arts and sciences wins by at least 10.....
  23. that definitly wasnt an encouraging outing for notre dame.....lookout valley by 8 without james woods is not good at all.....after this i dont see notre dame coming in anywhere near the top 4.....in ligt of results i would like to change my prediction to....1) Howard, 2) CCS, 3) East Ridge, and 4) toss up
  24. CSAS over powered ooltawah.......but they still had some lows that they need to work on.....the second quarter was extremly rough......they only scored 7 in the second, they got pretty sloppy because they had such a big lead after the first they were just playin around and they have to learn not to do that....but besides that they looked pretty good....once johnson comes back and if deere can stay out of trouble it looks like its going to be a real good season for AS....
