It's not that big a deal, it just makes you both look like jerks. Because you started the post acting like and saying you didn't know him and he insisted in his posts that he didn't know you. Smoke and mirrors, boys. Loyalty but not honesty right? You should want your friend to get the job. The way you both went about making publicity is kind of sketchy, that's all. That can't be argued. Now I'm signing off for good. I'd hate for anybody but coaches to get a word in or have an opinion.

I noticed the same thing early on. If you check out the other Central post and all of these messages, its pretty clear that raiderfan knows Davis. He went back and edited the post on this thread that really gave it away, but I think it's still pretty clear. I personaly think that starting this post was just a way to get publicity for Davis because there was too much hipe about Derrick. Why not just go to Davis and say, "hey did they offer you the job and are you taking it?"

Yah. I just want to know. There were alot of people talking about it at the game. Some guy even said that half of the county was sorry that they didn't hire one of those guys 2 yrs ago. Pretty funny stuff.

Well that article didn't really do much for me. In ways its good to be slow, but fast and thoughtful seems better. It would give the new guy more time to plan and get stuff implemented. I think I'm just impatient. After the bb game the other night I know I'm not the only one!

Just curious. No reason to be rude I would think that interviews wouldn't be until after the break, but I haven't heard anything. It's not unheard of to create teaching positions by transfers so not having an open position isn't as big of a deal as people are making it.

Don't teachers make more money in Georgia? Is it true that teachers are contracted to the county and not the school? So at the end of the year they could be transferred to any other school that they're certified for in order to resolve staffing issues?

There are a lot of rumors flying around about this job, but NO ONE was contacted by the school. The fan favorite is definitely B Derrick. Everyone who knows anything about high school football in ET is likely to remember him and the Cinderella Chargers. Word is that he's been really productive on whatever side of the ball he coordinates down there in Georgia. I hear he really understands the on-field pressure. At first H Davis was publicly giving support to Derrick. I hear that he doesn't stay in one place for too long. You might call that career advancement but it's hard to guess staying potential for somebody like that. He may change his mind soon...seriously. He was supporting another candidate just a week ago. B Gossett is a really nice guy. He's young and inexperienced, but he works really hard. I think he played college ball with Derrick. He's not really a crowd favorite right now, but talk is cheap. Haven't heard too much about Barnett. He's the auto teacher and the kids seem to like him. He's only been a coordinator for a few years but he seems to have done a decent job. NC?
