Hey Indy: Too bad Franklin grabbed the regular season district crown. I know that hurts. How bout those seniors; Young, Henry, Miller-Mac, Haddix, Glover, Starnes, Lindsey......... THE LIST GOES ON........DISTRICT CHAMPS

Congrats to the Franklin Rebels Regular Season District Champs Great job by the players, coaching staff, and fans Heard it was a gutty effort...... Tourney Time.....

I will say that the ball game at Brentwood was entertaining. Brentwood did what they wanted to offensively most of the game. Hood was money all night and nailed some huge daggers from three land. Franklin did make some runs and Haddix had a very solid game. Good battle with Tiechman and Haddix in the paint. Haddix had a couple solid dunks as well. Bottom line is Franklin can't fall behind 14-15 points and expect to claw their way all the way back. Both times that has been the case. Maybe a rematch in the tourney but the last 2 games are important for FHS, Indy, and Bwood. Tie breaker is common opponents in the district.

Sarah Palin and IndyEagle09, both of you are oozing with class. While the kids are out there playing ball, you two cats are "brewing up some great one liners" Ok, so you are better at cut downs and name calling! Awesome job, I guess Franklin and Brentwood will just settle for battling for 1rst place while you two "fanatics" think up different ways to act 6 years old and cut people down. Enjoy Life.....

Another classy post by IndyEagle09......Your parents must be so proud of you! I am pretty sure Franklin plays Ravenwood on Friday, so the Rebels will be thinking about that game for now, but thanks for the extra motivation genious! Question, how many district titles do you have?

IndyEagle09; it's not our fault you are not good enough to play HS basketball. The fact you are bashing franklin basketball is funny. When is the last time Indy beat Franklin??? Nobody can remember. As far as franklin choking the past few years???? Nobody should have beat that Antioch team last year, 2 years earlier Franklin lost to Jamie Grahm and whites creek in the region championship, and then lost to Clarksville; both teams made state genious. At least Franklin had a legit shot(aka) they were there. Where was Indy. At HOME. What you say is irrelevant. You make zero sense, and your own classmate calls you out. Sweet life buddy.

Real classy indy calling HS kids garbage. Please continue to bash Franklin if that's what makes you "sound cool" and thump your chest. I remind you that Indy's basketball resume has zero important accomplishments. Can you name one? It will come down to who is playing best at tourney time. I am as disappointed as any Franklin supporter over the loss to Brentwood. I'm sure the coaching staff is disappointed; I'm also sure that the players are disappointed. That being said, there is a ton of basketball to be played. Yes, Franklin has been at the top like 5 years in a row. Yes, this is Franklins' first loss to Brentwood in like 6 years. You can only hope as a Franklin fan that the Rebels will improve and learn from this past Friday night. After an early loss to Columbia, Franklin paid them back the second time. I have no doubt that Franklin can and will get better. On a positive note, Brentwood winning spices up the REBEL/BRUIN series!!!!!

Franklin 66 Overton 57 Franklin had two 14 point leads during the contest. Bobcats couldn't stop Mr. haddix, but then again, who has? Nice games by Young and Glover as well. Franklin plays @ Hillwood Thursday (rainout) and hosts Brentwood Friday. Young also added a breakaway CRAM to end the contest......... The Franklin win over Columbia tells us a couple of things. First, the Rebels are getting better. After squeaking by Independence on Tuesday, some thought the Rebels had taken a few steps back since their dominating performances down in Panama City. Secondly, a blowout win @ Hillsboro on Friday combined with a gutsy 53-48 win over 3rd ranked Columbia proves that this Franklin squad can get the job done against good competition. Most who were at the tournament in PCB tell me the competition was comparable to the Columbia team Franklin has split closely with this year. At 15-3, some continue to doubt the Rebels, but this team has not even played their best ball yet! James Haddix, has made an incredible transformation into a dominating presence in the paint. Peyton Henry is more than likely the districts best pure (PG). Throw in seniors Young, Miller-McLemore, Starnes, Glover, and Lindsey: You've got senior leadeship all the way around! District play is now full steam ahead!

The rebels have another tough game tonight against Columbia. Big game for Haddix last night dropping 18pts against Hillsboro. The 64-41 win last night for the Rebels was nice to see after their escape from Indy on Tuesday. Also, hopefully pg Peyton Henry is recovering quickly, he has been missed!

Franklin blew out host bay city hs to win the barnstorm classic in pcb! Congrats to the rebels...

Franklin has advanced to the championship game of the Barnstorm classic in PCB. The rebels have beaten teams from Ontario, Georgia, and Louisville. In the semis, Michael Young had 19 and James Haddix had 17 points. The rebels will play news years eve for the championship.

Wow, I almost cried reading these "profound posts". I'd say Ensworth is by far the best private school team in mid TN.

Franklin now 2-0 at Barnstorm Classic in Panama City. The Rebels have played very well with double digit wins in both contests. Franklin beat a team from Ontario and Cairo, GA. Michael Young and Peyton Henry both had 16 pts in the win today over Cairo, GA.

Can someone post a summary of the rebels waxing of brentwood academy? I heard the beat they eagles by about 30?
