  1. How many Bradley kids have left to go to baylor? I dont know of any off the top of my head.

At least 2. And as far as Bradley getting Red Bank kids so does Soddy and Baylor. Ardent fans? Whose fans ? I could care less about who Bradley wrestles, If you or anyone else wants to do the greater good, then go start a kids club, use your resources, I remember when Bradley didn't even field a full team do you? They didn't whine about they built their program up from nothing, that's the real problem in this country no one wants to start from the bottom and work their way up, no value of a job well done, Bradley built their program it's their right to do want they want to with it.

I think you have to commend Bradley, Collins Hill-the top programs etc..because of the fact they can keep talented kids in the program even though they may not be in the starting line up for a couple of years. Young people these days are looking for instant results for their time. When you look at teams that are down, what you will find is a lack of seniors in the line up. It doesnt have to be senior dominated line up but you do need that leadership to carry over from team to team. Your right about the value of a job well done because a job well done cannot be achieved in an afternoon of sitting on your arse but you can defeat any ps3 or 360 game in an afternoon maybe even be a guitar hero but wrestling takes time and years to master the skill level needed to be great. Kids these days don't have time for that...........they want car's, girls, and phones to finger all day with out even wanting to earn the right to have those things, as parents we are just supposed to hand them over, and most of us do just that-unless you don't have any money, then you just might lose your kid.

  2. if people would have stopped beating dead horses there wouldnt be much change in the world. Women would still be voting, minorities wouldnt have any rights, ecttt.. Are these issues the same? Of course they arent but the point is the same. Our sport is suffering across the nation and we need to generate some interest. I cant think of anything that would create as much interest as a Bradley/Baylor matchup. (sorry Father Ryan). This match up is bigger than Bradley doesnt want to wrestle. Its about pleaseinf the ardent fans of our sport and creating interest and excitement like has never been known before. Imagine how many people would show up. Wow, what a fund raiser this could be for charity. Lets be honest and this is spoken from experience and first hand knowledge. All good schools recruit in some form or another. If my memory serves me correctly, Bradley jump started this wave of success with quite a few transfers from Red Bank many years ago. Schools recruit themselves, programs recruit themselves with their success, parents and alumni recruit. Bottom line is sometimes we have to sometimes do what is better for the greater good. The fans would love to see the match-up coach and it would be tremendous for our sport that is in need of a boost. How many Bradley kids have left to go to baylor? I dont know of any off the top of my head.

Brad Lane, I think? Left Baylor and went back to Bradley and never wrestled again at Bradley? I think?

Cothran, Floyd, Cordell left Red Bank and went to Bradley

  3. I am tired of reading this D-I garbage that Wes is scared of anyone. He is a 2 time state champ which is more than I can say for anyone in the trash school division this year (D-I) in his division.

Why the trash comment. What do you mean by trash? Please explain.

  4. looks like ryan's got a young team. only three seniors starting? where did everyone go? the younguns looked good last night though hopefully they can step it up this year

I would assume that they add one more senior to the list when Wesley moves back to 171 and Mix starts at 189.

They graduated a fair bit last year so the youth shouldn't come as too huge a surprise.

I bet Wesley will go back to 171 before he has to face Kennedy from Blackman at 189. But watch out for Boykin from Riverdale at 171, sorry Wesley. Good Luck!!!!!

I thought Scotty was going to Blackman. What happened.

  5. You are bored this morning. I worry about you friend. Whens the first matches this week? Anybody.

Not bored my big ol friend, just full of energy full of life and most important full of caca.

What am I suppose to do today, can't play golf, been to church and solved the mystery of irish fairy. Which was sooooo obvious, but what do you expect from a dad who MAKES his son cheat on hydration test.

    bcb iii

How come you did not list your turn ons and offs ?

Too many in both directions to list. I was leaning towards the thought it could be the great imposter, but I couldn't rule out Charlie, but what sealed the deal is when he listed Jack's score with Alex, been killing him to get on here and make sure everyone new that score. I think Coacht should put a limit to how many bs names you can get on here with and try to slander people, if you are ashamed of your behavior so much so that you continually change names to throw people off the trail than maybe you shouldn't put it on here.

  6. The score to the Shuford vs Henry match was 10-3

Lets see, nice first post but I'll play along. 6-3 start of third, periods 2-1-1, Blaike was cautioned 2 times to start the 2nd period for elbow placement, 1 time two start the third for too quick of a start which made the score 7-3 , which made 3 point exposure now out of the question and Blaike needs a pin in one minute period, tried to cradle and ride till 16 seconds left, and then tried a desperation roll to put Adam on his back and slipped out of it, thus Adam getting 2 points for the reversal. Score is 9-3. I doubt Adam cared what the score was because they will wrestle again on December 3rd at 160. There, since making a point of a few points mattered to you.

  7. Chattwrestling your 2 outstanding wrestlers attending this event ?

Rumor 1: A friend of a friend of mine told me that someone name Blair called and said that Brentwood is bringing some of there studs down to wrestle

Rumor 2 : A lady I know overheard someone on a cell phone at the Red Bank Football game say The Purple Irish are bringing some kids down...

Rumor 3 : I overheard two Coaches name Ben talking and the guys in red leggings are bringing 20 wrestlers....guess that's why they are who they are !!!!

Just one want's to come out and play, gotta try out the new wheel.

  8. Reminder that this is preseason and that a lil mat time is not going to hurt anyone.

I can assure you our team needs more practice room time also.Live matches with someone other than you room partners is good practice. Each Coach and each team have dif ways that they like to prepare for the upcoming season.

Guys name Steve have lots of State Championships so I am not one to question what they choose to do  They know what there teams need prob better than most .

This is also a fundraising event for a family that is one of our own.

So thanks to all that choose to come and you can still register to get in.We have lots of great wrestlers

signed up and will have more this week as well. Individuals are welcome you don't have to have your entire team come.

Daisy May you and your friend can come too...we need volunteer help ....you might even hear some good gossip here from people named Steve or Jim or Ben or Shak or Jake or Mike or Gordon or Kenny etc. LOL :roflolk:

If you don't want to wrestle come out and volunteer to help or just watch some good wrestling.

There will be some good match ups right here in Chattanooga and you will be 20 min from home when they day is done.

You can always expect some good gossip from Chig too.

  9. ok, heres mine, i put alot of thought into this one

    103-Jordan Bradley (Franklin)

    112-Brandon Greer (Antioch)

    119-Blake Thomas (Brentwood)

    125-Austin Woods (Franklin)

    130-Brad Compton (Franklin)

    135-Austin Heithcock (Independence)

    140-Brian Keifer (Ravenwood)

    145-Brennen Cox (Independence)

    152-McCoy Newberg (Independence)

    160-Chris Hoop (Brentwood)

    171-Denzell Caldwell (Antioch)

    189-Christian Tambellini (Independence)

    215-Cameron Croy (Brentwood)

    Hwt.-Dalton Burge (Independence)

Where's Colbert? He placed 4th(160) last year at state from McGavock. I would think he would be ahead of Hoop.

  10. It sounds like Soddy Daisy may be the team to beat when everyone gets healthy.

    Jacob Stevens

Ryan Gardner real good wrestler that claims to not be wrestling this year

    Jake Gamble

    Campbell Lewis

    Turbo Smith

    Jonathan Taylor

Jamarcus Mobley real good wrestler that claims to not be wrestling again this year

    Blaike Henry

    Billy Swanson

    Alex Seeley

So someone has convinced Marcus and his Dad and Ryan and his Mom that they are wrestling this year ?

If not Chig than maybe you can come up to Soddy Daisy and help talk them into wrestling, since you care so much and with you being the new assistant wrestling COACH at Red Bank we know there's no reason why you wouldn't want these young men to wrestle. Right.............I know' your just a concerned bystander meddling a bit.

  11. It's going to be tough on the Bears just to keep up! Graduated Biddy (2X), Graham (3X), Disney (2nd, 3rd), Murphy (qual), and Taylor not returning. Soddy didn't lose that kind of quality, has a great young class and then picks up not one, not two, but THREE studs from other schools! Yikes! :thumb:

    where's Taylor going?

If your talking about Jonathan, it will be 40 or 45-depends.

  12. I think ghouse has it about right as he almost always does, except for maybe Father Ryan, they lost some good wrestlers. Ryan will still be good with some great upper weights and a couple down lower. Bradley is still right below Baylor over all with alot of great wrestlers returning from top to bottom, maybe heavy is a weakness for them but it would just be speculation. Soddy will be fine at the end of the year when it matters the most maybe not so much at the beginning. Campbell Lewis 130 has had shoulder surgery and want return until the state tournament, Blaike 160 has had two surgeries since April with alot of missed time that you cant make up over night, We do have Jonathan 140 returning state champ , Jake Gamble 125, Jacob Stevens at 103, Darren Smith(Turbo) will be one to deal with at 135 and Jamarcus Mobley 152 may make a return to action at some point. I believe our heavyweight will be a big surprise also but in my opinion to much youth and not a lot of depth for Soddy to leap frog Bradley, but the boy's are happy to be wrestling together at Soddy Daisy with Coach Henry and Coach Yost. Its time to get it going men,for all our wrestlers I hope everyone gets healed and stays healthy.

  13. looks like my 2nd post was a little off. i did not realize that the team was so good or maybe i was thinking of another team. sorry for the bad info mr henry.

Its okay my man, I did miss one other state champ, Zach Watson with Campbell Lewis being the other champion. I understand the point you were getting at because I've had problems in the past with some of our Teams that are put together. I think my oldest son "Jonathan Taylor" has been on one Team Tennessee, won the spot on another through tournament Qualifier and was told he wasn't needed, I don't think its hurt his wrestling one bit, just his dancing maybe?

  14. will there be a middle school team this year? if so who is the coach, or will it be some daddy again like last years iowa team.

Mandingo, I don't think that team needed a COACH. I may have missed someone but on my count, that Team produced 10 STATE PLACERS, 1 of which was a state champ, 2 other finalists and our COACHES son who most agree would have placed if not for being injured early in the year, and was unable to compete the rest of the season. I'll go out on a limb and will say the state of TENNESSEE has never put this much wrestling talent for a schoolboy TEAM on the mat for an out of state tournament and i highly doubt they will again. I get what your saying about the daddy thing but that was not the TEAM to apply those standards too.

  15. WHO'S IT HURTING,

I really don't understand the problem. A fellow Tennessee wrestler wants to go test themselves, I for one hope the young man does well. I can understand if the people running the tournament have a problem but why do fellow Tennessee parents want to make a big deal out of a mole hill. /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" />

  16. By share do you mean 4% or 70%. I could give you 5 pretty good example on why I think the Mans Division is better, but I swore that I would not get involved in a peeing contest when I am clearly the best pee-er.

Are only the top three good wrestlers in your Div? I would think that credit should be given to all who placed, cause I know of one JV rassler who got a 4th and is proud of his accomplishment.

    GHouse an EXPERT?????????

Hey Hamm, why don't you tell the board who happen to win the 160 units of fun on the State finals Pick'em board.

Mr. bcb, I think that your 4% or 70% would vary by the same amount as you go to each weight class through both Divisions. I've got some examples if you wan't to start peeing. IMHO the 112 weight class was the most solid from top to bottom in D1 but you know this because we've spoke on it. The heavy weights in D1 were very tuff also, 71,89,215,HWY. /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" />

  17. I think your post paints a pretty clear picture.

My gut tells me it's like the," boy that cried wolf" scenario...? Hooker is the most dynamic wrestler McCallie has,,, and he's a joy to watch,,,,and I'm certain no one directly involved with him is making any excuses.

Is the kid with diarrhea,,,,or a torn ligament any less sick or injured than someone with a respiratory infection..? It's tough on all the kids that have an injury or illness,,,on top of the stress.

My old football coach (Bobby Newby) scored 4 touchdowns after receiving a concussion (he still doesn't remember any of it),,,,my buddy Jason walked 25 miles in sand with with 80 lbs of kit ,,,with a broken bone (metataral) in each foot and never said a word,,,,My point is Hooker is a warrior,,,lets give him the respect he deserves,,and he will return to fight another day.

FYI: EBE does abuse the injury time,,,when it's clearly a stall/ recovery gimmick

    CupCake, You have diarrhea of the mouth. FYI /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

  18. I was surprised also. Then I saw the young man with his family. From what I saw I think they are Muslim because of the females head cover. I would have thought they would have looked down on his actions but seamed to be laughing at it.

Not attacking his religion, just my observation from being around folks of the Muslim faith in the past.

We being his family were a little more than surprised, and we arent Muslim. We as a family apologize to anyone who was offended by our son's actions and please believe that his father took care of his youthful indescretions ASAP. I assure you that I was not laughing and he wasnt either. I would also like Coach Jordan and the Clarksville fans to know that his after match performance was not directed at them, and we are sorry for him being disrespectful but I've handled it. I've raised good young men that know how to act but as all parents know you can't control everything your children do. If you did see me laughing later that night with him, the parenting had already been taken care of and it was time to celebrate. I had two young men place yesterday and after all the hardwork, time and money our family has spent on their wrestling careers, I was not going to let it ruin our whole evening. Jonathan is remorseful and knows it was not the time nor place for his actions. Rigger, his family was in the upperdeck of the roundhouse so I'm sure you don't know what your talking about but you do know about youthful indescretions. To all of our friends we love you, for our children are of this community and we are so thankful for you guys.
