Much better 2nd half....that 5-0 score at half had me scratching my head

Looks like Forrest has gotten untracked in the 2nd half while Lewis County continues to pour it on in Loretto. Starting the 4th quarter, 35-7 Lewis County. Only report I have seen from SHS/EHS has been 14-6 Summertown at the half.

Lewis Co 20 Loretto 0 at the half. Loretto has only crossed the 50 once in the first half.

Eye opener....Forrest struggles with Community in the first half....Trying to find some radio coverage for SHS v EHS....any help?

If that is the case and they have to forfeit a 2nd game as other teams have, that puts a nail in their coffin. That would leave them having to forfeit vs Eagleville, thus leaving Summertown with only 1 possible region win max. That would be against Community last week of the season. It would also set Eagleville at 2 region wins and in a tie with Loretto for 3rd and they play last week of the season and would determine 3rd and 4th in the region.

Who cancelled? I see Forrest v ST is cancelled.

Loretto with a HUGE upset over Summertown in the Pegasus Cup. The Mustangs simply make fewer mistakes in a very tough defensive ballgame. Congrats to Loretto on the 12-7 rivalry victory. Summertown will now have to regroup and see if they can pull themselves back up into the hunted role for a home game in the playoffs.

Summertown ended up with a 4th and 15 at the 1 foot mark. Rather than punt, Summertown takes a safety. Loretto ends up with the ball at their own 40. They have since gotten a first down with approximately 2:20 left to play.

A serious bad set of downs from Summertown might have cost them the game. The scenario has ended with an intentional safety from Colton Schaeffer to give Loretto a 12-7 lead with 2:40 to play and Summertown kicking to Loretto.

Summertown opens the 4th continuing the momentum that began in the 3rd with the 2nd interception and takes the ball into the end zone along with the following PAT to make it 10-7 early in the 4th.

End of the 3rd and still 10-0 in Loretto. Summertown seems to have a little momentum with 2 consecutive turnovers by Loretto. Fourth quarter of the Pegasus Cup will start with Summertown with the ball and a 1st down.

Loretto with a 4th down TD throw from the 17 with 24 seconds left in the half with the XP following to take a 10-0 lead. Summertown ends the half down double digits.

Loretto strikes first at the 7:43 mark of the 2nd with a 30 yard FG to take a 3-0 lead against the blue and white Eagles.

Region rundown..... Lewis County is the clear front runner. I dont foresee any upsets along the way that will keep them from winning the Region. Summertown looks like the #2 team. They should win out in the region and finish #2 Forrest gets the upper hand for 3rd with the big emotional win at Loretto. I still think Loretto gets in as the 4. They seem to be Heckyll and Jyde. One week they have a defense, next it is offense, then they have a grinder where both fail. Eagleville is the only team that would still knock Loretto out. IF they can show up and play a solid game, I could see them knocking off the Mustangs. They key would be to show up and play and not lay an egg like they have early in the season here. Two straight wins against really bad teams does give them some momentum. Community...not much to say here. They had their shot to show marked improvement and they forgot to show up.

Im going to go with Summertown by 7, Moore Co by 10, Lewis County by 14, Lawrence County by 7, and Cascade by 10

My understanding is that Community is getting some players back that had left them with only 21 vs Lewis County. Word was they had some success with the passing game and had gotten several guys back. I think most expected Eagleville to contend for a mid pack finish and they have surely disappointed thus far. Could be the most interesting game of the night. Im going out on a limb and say Community in an upset.

My gut is Loretto. This is likely for the #3 seed. Two teams battling for a top 4 finish in the region. Cant wait to follow this one.

Interesting night for R5AA....Summertown takes one on the chin at DCA, Community, I say COMMUNITY, won a game, Eagleville gets the offense untracked while the defense pitches a shutout, Lewis County does it workman style, and Moore County takes down Forrest. Hey, Salem, that woeful Cascade just pitched Huntland a HUGE loss.

I may be dead wrong but I do not look for Moore Co and Forrest to be close. My gut is telling me Moore Co wins by 2-3 scores. That offense is playing at an elite level. Forrest has struggled to score this year. The score against EV was very misleading. it was 10-7 with under 4 to play. Defense got a safety on a 20 yard loss from a guy running the wrong way and then offense put it in from a short yardage situation. I dont see anyway they keep up with MC on the scoreboard.

Im not buying better than Loretto or as good as Lawrence. If you stack the box and stop the run, Forrest isnt going to beat anyone with the pass. Lawrence will beat them worse than they beat Loretto. Book it.

Im not so sure. I think they can score on Forrest while Im not so sure Forrest can score on them. Forrest really struggles offensively. If you stack the box on them and shoot the gaps, they have no threat passing from what I have listened to. I think Loretto is actually the better team at this point.

Throw this one out. Eagleville is now 0-3 with a very bad loss to Cornersville, a very ugly game with Forrest and getting blitzed by Huntland in the 2nd half. 1. Lewis 2. Summertown 3. Loretto 4. Forrest I have Loretto 3rd because they can score some points. And did it against a 4A school. They are vstly improved and might jsut be the most improved team in the entire region. To beat Forrest, play the run all night. Stack the box and shut it down.

I listened to part of the second half. What I did catch just sounded like sloppy football to me. I mean, if you take the 20 yard safety off of the Eagleville rushing totals, that number does look a little better. If either team wants to challenge Summertown or Lewis, they goign to have to get alot better. I think Loretto might even be better at this point. Good win for Forrest, though. Get a leg up on that top 4 finish for a playoff spot

Lweis Co 2-0 Summertown 2-0 Loretto 1-1 Forrest 1-1 Eagleville 0-1 Community 0-2 Havent seen the stats from Lewis County, but I would suspect they went old fashioned run it down the throat in the big win over Cheatham Co to go 2-0. Summertown was a little sloppy with 3 turnovers, but got the job done to go 2-0 with the 26-6 win. Loretto gets listed 3rd due to points scored. They blew up for 38 tonight.....but gave up 54. In all fairness, they did play 4A Lawrence County so putting up 38 on them is an eye opener. Forrest blows a 14-10 halftime lead and drops to 1-1 in loss to Portland. Havent seen anything on Eagleville yet. Community seems to have packed it in already getting abused by 1A Moore Co.
