  1. it looks like all the soddy daisy wrestlers dropped their weight for junior nationals but it says that in order to be eligible you have to have wrestled at that weight atleast once during the season. is this legal?
  2. and dean smith beat him at 160. another example as to how smith is the most underrated wrestler in tennessee.
  3. valid point you have there mofo. we also cannot just assume that just because a team is D2, then they recruit. the only two schools i know of from d2 that actually bring kids in for wrestling are mccallie and baylor. every other school just gives financial aid to kids who are academically superior but yet cant find the money to go. i would like somebody to name one person not from baylor or mccallie that was recruited by a d2 school to wrestle.
  4. considering that at the catholic tournament whitaker lost to a mediocre jordan harless, and johnson tech falled harless, I believe that johnson could dispatch whitaker fairly quickly.
  5. Based on what I saw at the state tournament: 1. Kelly Felix 2. Demetrious Johnson 3. Corey Manson 4. Ben Johnson 5. Nic Bundy 6. Jay Adamson 7. Bo Usury 8. Dean Smith 9. Daniel Waddel 10. Brandon Wright
  6. Simpson would never be able to defeat Adamson. Adamson would be able to take Simpson down with ease, and Simpson, who really is only a stud on top, would not be able to hold down Adamson. Simpson has been down a lot this year only to come back to win with a pin or back points. He would not be able to turn Adamson. No offense to Simpson, but he did not have the mine field of a bracket that Adamson had at state, instead he got lucky when Sherbakoff got upset and ended up wrestling a mediocre wrestler in the finals. Downey is no Mang, and Simpson is no Adamson. Adamson would defeat Simpson with takedown after takedown.
  7. Joslin never wrestled Smith this year. He beat him last year in Smith's third match coming back from football before Smith was even at the weight he wrestled most of the year. Also, I must correct myself. Two matches people went all the way with Dean. Finals of the Father Ryan tournament Robby Robinson lost to Dean by one point at 160, and in the finals of the KIL a guy that Joslin beat in overtime the next weekend lost to Dean 12-4. Joslin would never have beaten Dean this year, and Smith never wrestled Pease. At the McCallie tourny he beat the guy who beat Pease. Neither Tolbert, Pease, Creagan, or any other 160 in Tennessee would be able to defeat Dean Heyward Smith.
  8. Dean Smith won mccallie, defeating the 5A georgia state champ in the finals and the third place finisher in the semis. Tolbert got sixth at McCallie. Smith would beat both Creagan and Tolbert. Nobody in the state of tennessee has lasted a full match with Smith.
  9. 145, goss, doster, manning, baucke, and hall, by far toughest weight class. 140, with hussein and young, will be the best finals match.

  11. who won between cash and whitaker
  12. caleb myers never teched bo usary.
  13. I'm sure everyone has a better way to do it than everyone else. How about you just take care of business in the real bracket so that you don't go to the consolations. What's the difference between third and fourth anyways? You still lost.
  14. doster didnt look too great against toney from soddy daisy, someone goss has already beaten.
  15. did the soddy daisy 119 really pin adamson????
  16. This is how I see the match being played out: 103- Cole Perrin dec. Trey Stavrum 3-0 MCC 112- Shiladitya Singh dec. Bailey Whitaker 6-0 MCC 119- Nathan Hughes dec. Troy Downey 9-0 MCC 125- Ben Johnson pin David Meadows 9-6 MCC 130- Joe Young dec. Mike Bell 12-6 MCC 135- Corey Manson dec. Will Young 12-9 MCC 140- Jed Hussein pin Tyler Newman 12-15 Bay 145- Zach Goss dec. Reed Doster 15-15 152- Daniel Waddel pin Hunter Campbell 15-21 Bay 160- Robby Robinson pin Wes Stroud 21-21 171- Will Bible dec. Logan Doughen 24-21 MCC 189- Derek Walker pin Aaron Cook 27-24 Bay 215- Bobby Huffaker pin Tayler Watson 30-27 MCC 275- McLain Still dec. Charles Green 30-30 Oh my goodness Baylor and McCallie tie but since Baylor has more pins, they win. Hey it could happen.
  17. i truly believe that the winner of doster and goss will win the dual for their team. and singh will beat whitaker.
  18. rigger, i mean masterblaster, you have no idea what you are talking about. you dont see any d2 wrestlers bragging about going to state, and i guarentee you that there arent any good d1 wrestlers bragging about placing top 4 in their region. if anyone is struggling to get to state, then they are not a good wrestler. yeah, there are some really terrible wrestlers that get to go to d2 state and their are also some ad d2 wrestlers that place in state. the fact of the matter is, getting to state will never be a good wrestler's goal. i highly dont felix or bundy is wondering how tough it will be to go to the state tourney. so all this talk about how hard it is to get to the state tourney is a joke b/c if you are an avreage wrestler then you should go to state.
  19. whitaker will never beat cash. cash will walk through the 112 bracket, guarenteed.
  20. Toney majored manning in the consolation finals.
  21. yeah he is but i wouldnt count on him placing too high.
  22. cash and simpson have already wrestled and simpson won 7-4.
