What Private School in the State has the closest shot at knockin off Brentwood Academy in the state invitational? My favorite is Elliston Baptist Academy...even tho they havent had a very hard schedule like Brrentwood has, I still think they have the intanglebles to beat them

You cannot choose D-2 Mr. Basketball without considering Elliston Baptist's List of Stars...They are #2 in the state according to Coach T...I think they have a really big chance at upseting Brentwood Academy and they are riding the backs of 6-7 post Laurence Bowers who averages 11 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 blocks (pretty impressive for a sophmore huh), Jerry Woods who is averaging 21 points a game off the bench, and Courtney Williams is destroying teams in the paint.....and they also are on an 11 game winning streak heading into the district tournament...You should give Elliston Baptist some credit and major attention!!!

They are picked to win their division and they are on a 6 game winning streak(8-3 overall)...They had Memphis Tiger great and NBA Veteran Vincent Askew as a head coach last year, who brought most of the talent over including Shelby-Metro leading scorer from a year ago in Mike Hale who averaged over 30 points a game...with a very much improved lineup and a new coach in place in Ronald Sampson the Red Raiders of Elliston in Memphis, TN are poised to make a run toward a state championship in division 2...keep checking up on Elliston as they go from a 1 win season 2 years ago to a state power!!!
