On May 19th the Lady Rangers of Unaka have tw0 more softball players signing with colleges. Megan Heaton is the catcher for the Lady Rangers and she will be signing with King College. Brittany Taylor plays SS and will sign with Walter State. Megan and Brittany along with fellow signee Ryann Musick will try and lead the Lady Rangers to the State Tourney tomorrow at 4.
The Rangers have a good chance to make it back to state if they play like they can. Blevins will tell you that he is only as good as his team and his coaches. He will tell you that they win and lose as a team. One thing about Unaka is that they have some good players that when they all step up and take over some key rolls that they lost from last year they could be a great team.
The Younger kids that are playing are stepping up into some key roles that some of the other kids did last year. The Rangers have started off at 2-0 but have a tough week next week against Happy Valley, North Greene, and TN High.
The Unaka Rangers are looking good since they have started to get some practice on the field. They have 3 scrimmages this week against HV Chuk Dok and Sull. Central. Then Sat. they have the Jambo.
Those are a few players that may be on the 20 man roster. All in all, Cater County has some impressive baseball players this year. Does anyone know if Adam Grindstaff is being looked at?
I agree with Charles Peters
Ryan Kennedy and that makes 14 on my list. I have never seen the others play and I have never heard of them but you may be right and they may be top 15 but just by me I haven't seen them to know.
I also think you have to consider Aaron Greer, Church and Carpenter in on the top 15. Maybe I should have asked for the top 20.
