I have seen a play where the ump called infield fly as soon as he saw it going up...that runner had not left the box. As it turned out the ball kept going up and out and landed between shortstop and the outfielder for what should have been a hit. When asked between innings the ump said he called it to soon. Saw a different crew the other night wait a long time to call one that was caught at second. Some fans were fussing about the delay call. Why is it OK to pick the "winner" and not the "loser"????? It is the same if you think about it. Will be start giving participation ribbons out to the teams that fail to win? I saw a girl Crow hopping badly, the coach of the visiting team said something to the ump behind the plate instead of the ump in the field. Then the coach was suprised that the ump behind the plate said it wasn't his call. End of discussion!!! Coach must know the rules. I was also told by a ump in the summer that as long as the toe was pointing down that no advantage was gained. The next inning I told him that I understood....the pitcher could jump over the hole in front of the mound as long as her toe was down....next pitch it was called. I guess I just don't understand "promoting" a favorite player by not bunting. If a player can't lay down the bunt what are you promoting???? If you are trying to give her a chance to do something by swinging away you had better know your player. Many times in game coaches are faced with a chance to score a runner from third. He must know his batter. The "book" may say bunt, but if the batter has gone 3 for 3 against the pitcher, what do you do????? A lot of schools don't have the athletes for small ball. You must be able to lay the bunt down and you must have speed to get on or score. Most travel teams can do both. Yes Mr noitall gets the facts confused sometimes. I think this will be a strange year in 10AA. Who knows what will happen.

I agree with you on that.....but what if she got punched in the face by some guy before you got to her, would you be OK with that!!!!! If this happened it is sad on so many different levels!!!

Cuz, i just found it strange that you picked Spring Hill 1st and Lorretta 2nd in the district and the first game they play Lorretta wins in the bottom of the 7th and you put Spring Hill on the losers list. Had she played back the whole game??? If so, sounds like your mad that someone didn't get a perfect game. You won 4-0 right. I guess you are lucky all the ball were not hit towards her. They gave up 2 runs on a throwing error, but they did lose. 1 of the pitchers should be able to play soon and the other hurt girl is a few weeks away. They should be strong late in the year if not sooner!!!! Lorretta has a good pitcher. She hit her spots and kept the ball off the plate. East Robertson should walk away with this. They have great coaching and fan support. If Heritage would get behind their coach they might have a chance in a few years.
