Just out of curiosity Masterblaster, Who was the big suprise this year that won the DI state?

It seemed as though Whitaker had a hard time adjusting from 103 to 112 early in the year. But toward the end of the year, he really started settling in and wrestling much better. Also, did Cash from BA wrestle any standouts during the year? If so, how did he do against them?

When and where did they wrestle this year?

Here is my shot at it. 152) Waddell (in a close one but I think Waddell is a little too slick) 160) Smith (I like his strength against Creagon) 171) Bateman (good match) 189) Morgan (in an old fashion football brawl) 215) Reveiz (sorry PJP II fans) 275) Vandergriff 103) Randolph 112) Johnson 119) Simpson 125) Johnson (looked real tough throughout the season) 130) Bundy 135) Manson 140) Young (Holliman didn't look great against SD in the semis and Young impressed me in the finals against Hussain) 145) Felix DII- 7 DI- 7 Who gets the bonus points? OW- Cory Manson Best Match- 140. I would say advantage goes to DI but it could definately swing either way.

I sure hope this is going to be as good a match as everyone is talking it up to be. Dan is pretty tough and it seems that everyone in West Tennessee is saying Williams is the real deal. Who is the team favorite to take home the championship? By the looks of it, it's probably coming down to who has the most success in the consolations: Baylor, McCallie, or MBA. I didn't thnk MBA had a chance two weeks ago but they were impressive against McCallie at duals.

Does anybody out there want to fill us in on what happened at 135 in 5A, or will we see tonight? I thought the Collins Hill kid was as close to a lock as you can get.

All this talk about Robinson wrestling so well. Ive heard about him wrestling at 171, 160, or 145. What are the chances of seeing him at 152 against Waddell. I'm not sure he's breaking any kneecaps there.
