The region semi-final games will be played at the district champions' home fields. I ma not sure where the final will be. I think district 7 and 8 are about equal in skill. It should be an interesting postseason for sure.

TN girls basketball Nike Travel Team will be announced in the coming weeks. This years team consist of 11 players with two more to be added in the next couple of days. This will truly be a treat for all to see, could be the best team ever put together for summer basketball in this state.

Has anybody heard that Jennifer Grandstaff has agreed to take the the job at the new school in Murfreesboro? I cant believe that she would leave the college after one year. Why would she leave?

The 2nd annual Showtime Shootout will be taking place in Shelbyville, TN on March the 28-30 for girls AAU teams and travel teams ages 10 and under thru 16 and under. Trophies will be given in each division, and AAU rules will be followed and shot clocks will be used in every game. We will be using ten full court gyms and registered TSSAA officials. A coaches party will be given on Friday night and hotel rooms for teams and fans will be plentiful. LAWERENCE COUNTY VS JACKSON COUNTY 6:00 PM SHELBYVILLE VS KNOXVILLE FARRAGUT 7:30 PM SATURDAY DECEMBER 14, 2002

Just heard that there has been three more teams added to the Shelbyville playday, Tullahoma, Fraklin County, and Cannon County. That puts a little more than 30 teams coming to Shelbyville to play on that weekend. Also three more colleges have also called and said that they were coming, Florida, Michigan, and Virginia.

I just got off the phone with the Little Man and here are the teams that he knows that are coming: Father Ryan, Moore County, Marshall County, Cumberland County, Smyrna, Mt. Juliet, Warren County, Lebanon, Hampshire, Summertown, Wilson Central, Bradley County, Blackman, Cascade, Giles County, Cheatam County, Friendship Christian, Spring Hill, Riverdale, Overton, Jackson County, Chester County, and Shelbyville. Their is four more teams to that Coach Mac talk to today that The Little Man is not forsure who they are. Lets all wish The Little Man a safe trip to Phoenix to the Nike Grassroots meeting for the next three days.

Two more teams have called in today and are planning on making the trip to Shelbyville that weekend. Ohio State and Virgina Tech.

These college programs have already committed to the Play Day Scrimmages at Shelbyville on Nov. 8 and Nov. 9. Tn. Tech, Lousiana Tech, Texas Tech, Georgia, Vandy, Georgia Tech, Alabama, Auburn, South Carloina, UNC Charlotte, University of Memphis, Arkansas, Oklahoma State, Kansas State, East Tennessee State, Carson Newman, and UAB.
