LOL you guys are quite funny. A ymca pickup game has a lot more talent than most of the teams greenville has in their conf. Go watch a game at the ymca league (which has many of the same people that play pickup) and you will see many ex college players, usually at least 2 on each team, and not old guys either, guys right out of college. The guy who led tusculum in scoring for years 01 and 02 plays there. Anyway the point is I am not bitter towards greeneville its just that the fans that have no clue what basketball is about rave about the wrong players. Yeah boone can score but thats it, he can not play def and is not quick enough to be a 1 or 2 gaurd. As far as South not having any glory days I wont agrgue that but they did have a few teams back in the late 90's that went to substate, which for south greene boys was a great accomplishment. Lastly like i said boone is average at best moore is twice the player he is and so is wiggins, learn who your best players are devil fans and support them. I know from playing against all of them except wiggins. And the reason we play vs high schoolers is because that is where the most talented players are, has nothing to do with recapturing glory days or whatever you were babbling about.

Well obviously most of them are in west tennessee. Not because I have seen them play but because most of them have already signed with a D1 team. Joe Watkins, Myron Strong, and Jeremey Williams from hamilton, Maurice Miller from raleigh egypt, Wes Channel, Ernest Fields, Martino Brock, Derrick Mason, and Jason Jones (last 3 are younger but have tons of potential) from ridgeway, Micheal McAdoo from antioch, Demonte Harper from whites creek, DeAndre Bynum from white station, Terrance Oglesby and Wes Adams from bradley. Those are the ones that have signed or being looked at by major colleges.

Greeneville may or may not win but the fact remains that they have done nothing to prepare for this game. The teams greeneville has left will not be a good prep for that game. You could take all the teams that greenville has left, best players and put them on one team and they would still loose to greeneville or SH. I know from expericnce that its hard to shift gears like that no matter how well you are coached. Meaning shifting from cruise mode (which they are in now from playing pathetic teams) to full throttle because you are facing a team that has 4 or 5 solid players on the floor at the same time. Hopefully it will be a good game. As far as that comment about playing at carver, I would not doubt anything anyone says there, I live in Greeneville but have played at carver once and been there many times when i was in college. You Greeneville people who do not know what carver is need to realize that there are guys that play there that know basketball and can play it (some good enough to be playing overseas) so if they say that SH "has something for greeneville" you might wanna be a little worried. Lastly, last time this game was big SH came to greeneville and won, that was about 10 years ago when greeneville was ranked higher in the state than SH.

I would rather have chris lofton from KY who plays at UT. He is as good a shooter as humphrey but adds great def (2nd in the sec in steals). But they are both great players and fun to watch.

If cherokee plays good and devils play bad, devils still win by at least 6 or 8. But in all likelyhood you are looking at a 16 - 22 pt devil win.

I swear all greeneville fans are such babies. Cant you take constructive critism about your team. All I said is about boone. For some reaon you all think he is wonderful. I have played against him before and he is not qualified to play ball at the next level. Moore and wiggins and maybe even anderson could though.

What are you smoking?? Cause I want some. Coach duncan is easily good enough to be a d1 coach?? To me coach duncan is holding these boys back. Esp moore. If he would let them run and press and play more like it was a pickup game these boys could maybe win a game at state. If he is so qualified why has he been fired at two other places prior to greeneville??

All you guys wear your feelings on your sleeves. I am not trashing greeneville just saying what I think they will do when it comes to the state tourney. I have seen them play south greene and red bank for starters. And more is the best player on the team this year by far if you take def and off into consideration. Dashaud can flat out ball. What about raymond lee, what about marcelous johnson, what about scot pejsa, what about walt manuel, what about matt malone, what about jermel boston, all those guys would put everyone but moore on this years team to shame. maybe its just that talent isnt what it used to be

I have seen greeneville play 4 times this year one of them vs red bank. And what qualifies you so much to know everything mr. smarty?? really wiggins in one seson has shown he is better than the all time greenevilel greats. You prob do not even know who marty story is.

Jimmy boone is a set up spot shooter that can not create anything for himself, yeah thats real hard to gaurd someone like that. Anderson is twice as important to greeneville than boone.

I would not say greenevilel is one dimensional as much as red bank is. But greeneville does not have a strong post game esp on the def end. Wiggins is tall but is better when out on the floor. So the one dimensional thing for greenevilel at least to me only seems to be on the def end. They have no guy that can stop a dominant post player. Offensively they need to let moore go one on one, because they are few guys that can gaurd him one on one. But if they run into a team that plays good team def and has a few good post players they may be in troule, they can run with anyone around though.

Moore is the only kid that is close to any of those players. And I could name a lot better 5 talent wise that were on the same team. basically every team from 1990 to 1999.

A fav to win state??? Please you are reaching. Melrose is ranked in the nation!! In the nation. And siegel could beat them too no matter who they had/hadn't lost.
