Now if the game would not have been 0-21 after the first few minutes, I'd have been a bit more peeved. As we all now know I spent a tank of gas to listen to a game on the radio, but I could not have heard the game up here where I'm from so it was not a complete loss. I'm just thankful MTSU was easier to find for the finals. And thanks to the Maryville tailgaters for the potato chips. Now that's another funny story in itself.

In 4A every region can say that except Region 3. In 5A I think it is always either Region 4 or 5. So it's not just NET that's not bringing home in gold balls.

I'm not sure what you would consider Northeast Tennessee, but I believe every year at least 1 team from Region 1 and Region 2 will make the state semi-finals. Do you consider Morristown NET, because they make it almost every year including the finals in 2003. Tennessee High made it to the semi's in '04. Hampton has been to the semi's the past 2 years and Cloudland was in the finals in '01. D-B did make it to the 3rd round in '03 and '04 and made it to the semi's in '02. I would say beating Science Hill does make them better than datoppers. I agree though that it is a shame D-B lost in the 1st round.
