The coaches have done a great job, lets hope they keep the same good balance and mix going, a great improvement in the passing game from last year, the running game has always been great.Db Nor Farragut had a clue what was coming next. Good Job Coaches.

Sorry once again. I sure do enjoy your and region4fan's posts. I will be talking to you some during this week.It should be a heck of a game. I hope anyway,we have always had a hard time against the Warriors, and we may again, but this a really special Oak Ridge team, I think you will see what I mean when you see them play. I watched film on Riverdale they are tough up front on both sides. I don't see an Antron Peebles, Fernando Bryant, Gerald Griffin, Alvin Dukes, or Eric Locke, but they still play so fast and aggressive, they are tough to move the ball on.

You must be an Oakland man we have had some good battles wth you guys in the past, I have family members that have played against you guys. A very well respected program throughout the state as is Riverdale.

no Riverdale it is not soccer, but if you want to play us in soccer we will whip that butt for you in soccer right after we eliminate you in football, for the first time ever. If there is time after that we will get you in basketball also.

Sorry bhsol I thought you were a Riverdale fan, just trying to stir you up. Oak Ridge will win though, this is brand of Oak Ridge football the warriors have not seen and they will not like it. My apologies for mistaken your fan identity.

Catwatch, I don't know you and really don't understand your whole post, but I like your attitude you are dadgum right these Kids have played their hearts out and they will win this week. They will be the most prepared team you have ever seen our coaches will see to that.

Sorry bhsvol, Riverdale fans better find something else to do instead of going to football games after this week, that is unless they want to come and watch the Cats play for the Championship. Maybe Basketball season will help.

Simo , you are right Coach Rankin is a great coach. Our coaches just need to continue to use all the weapons that they have at their disposal, take what is there, be flexible, and adjust to the situations as and when they change. Their PA announcer is bush league, and what is worse their school does not have enough class to stop it.

CC, I didn't think they struggled too much as they were putting up 48 on Farragut.

Big Ty, I sure hope you are right that we can make Riverdale have to throw, if we can they will be in for a long night, I hope our D'line has improved that much that they can't just run it down our throats, if they can then we will be in for a long night. I thought our D'line was our biggest weakness coming into the season, but they have improved so much especailly withthe addition of #43. Another thing I can tell you for sure their D'line is as stout as I have seen, quick, athletic, move their feet real well almost like linebackers. We will have to mix it up as we have the last couple of weeks, if we get hard headed or to one dimensional we won't have a chance.

Si I agree with you 100% about our coaching staff, they seem to be growing as a staff game by game apparently feeding off of each others strengths, and taking input from all. If they will continue to utilize all the weapons at hand we will be fine. Also thank you for your service to the team I know they appreciate it very much and so does the community. Go Cats

Si somtimes the tougher road is the longest we have been at this juncture several times and it is a long tough road, believe me, but we can be victorious during this long tough journey if we ahve prepared ourseleves properly and I think we have.

Good luck dmoyers1 you guys will smoke Tn High, it will be a little tougher in Murfreesboro when you get there.A Good friend of mine was at the Central game he said your guys played with a lot of poise and never doubted they would win even when they were behind. I am really impressed with the Maryville offensive system the few times I have seen you guys , it is in some ways light years ahead of most high schools in TN. I am not taking anything away from your defense either,your defensive guru is a heck of a coach also. Hope to see you in Murfreesboro in two weeks. Grad, you are so right and can you believe he was not even a finalist for Mr. Football. What a joke, but I bet he would prefer to win a Championship, from what I know of him he is the ultimate team player, who plays with a ton of heart, and determination. He also he is the type of player that wants the ball when the game is on the line. I would not trade him for anyone. What a role model for for the young kids in the Oak Ridge area.
