  1. Oooooooouch !!!!!!!!!!! I hope you are not known for your predictions! That would not be a fun game for the visitors! Best of luck to BOTH teams and coaching staff, all fans travel safe!
  2. Great job Bobcats! The unsung heroes of the night. The Giles County Band, Cheerleaders and fans ............. what a turn out in Jackson - - three hours away. The Bobcats may have found a new home field away from home. Great job fans ....... turning a visiting game - into our "homefield" advantage! Loud, visable, active with their game face on! Great job fans! Now .......... lets get ready for another home game at the BRICKYARD!
  3. Great post! This game has all the potential to be a great event! Two great teams, two great coaching staffs, two great schools, two great communities, two great fan bases. Now let us fans .......... support (win or lose) and enjoy the game! Good luck to BOTH teams and ALL fans travel safe!
  4. You are correct Crock... - - it was a hard hitting, well played, well coached game on both sides - - that could have gone either way in the last five minutes of the game. You guys earned alot of respect in the past 12 months, congrats to you and all of your hard work.
  5. Congrats to all the Bolivar players, coaches and fans! Giles County is proud to share our west tennessee vs. middle tennessee rivalry with you - - that has spread from our basketball teams now to our football teams. Best of luck to all the Tigers in the years to come.
  6. Is a "field wetter" one of those staff's and facilities where you experience a three week draught and walk across dust and dirt to get to a soaked game field?????
  7. Southside will be .......... by far .............. the best team that Giles County has faced this year. Bolivar fans advice was get ready for a track meet - that we would not be able to slow Southside down. We had the same problems with Lipscomb. So GC will have to bring their "super sized" game and game plan to have a shot. Good luck to both teams. Fans travel safe!
  8. When Todd was a senior - I had heard of his abilities, and I believe it was a state playoff game or maybe the state championship game - - I decided I would focus on him for a play or two and only watch him and his reactions. His team was playing against a wishbone triple option team. His first play, he stuffs the fullback at the line (with the fake of the dive), slides to the outside where the QB reads Todd and pitches off his force of the play, and then Todd sprints to the pitch man and makes the tackle for a one yard gain. It was unbelieveable to watch him play his linebacker position as a high school player. I know there are other great Tennessee high school players - - but, he was THE best that I ever witnessed (and I'm not from his area of the state).
  9. Martin Methodist College will be hosting try-outs for women's collegiate volleyball team on Saturday, November 4th from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM. All high school seniors are encourage to attend. No early registration is required. Please report to the Martin Methodist College gymnasium by 12:30 PM on Saturday in Pulaski, TN. For inquires, contact Coach Rose Magers-Powell at rpowell@martinmethodist.edu The Martin Methodist College RedHawks are the defending TranSouth Athletic Conference Champions and positioned to win the 2006 Championship as well. www.GoRedHawks.com
  10. Great job Bobcats. You had your backs to the wall in the second half and you won this game by maintaining your composer and displaying character. Team and especially Seniors - - great season! 9 - 1. Many. many victories this season, both on and off the field of play. Now refocus and start another run!
  11. The Bobcats will end their regular season with a tough test - - facing, possibly, the best QB - RB combo in the Region at Marshall County. In addition - - when you throw in the GC-MC rival ....... the playoff picture doesn't matter. Although a victory for the Tigers over the Bobcats helps ensure them an increased chance of a playoff appearence........... but, look who they would draw .......... neither draw is a pleasant road trip. Ugh! Best of Luck to both teams! Fans travel safe!
  12. If Giles has turnover problems like last week - I believe Creekwood will battle GC very, very tough. Three turnovers for GC and it will be a 7 point game and anything can happen in a 7 point game. Last year Creekwood came to GC with an expected victory tucked away in their pocket before they ever got off the bus - - and walked away with a loss. Bobcats better remain focused and ONLY listen to your coaches. Best of luck to both teams.
  13. Congrats to Lipscomb - - well coached, disciplined, and sportsmanship team. Giles County played, in my opinion, alot better of a game than the score showed - 28 - 3. Lipscomb forced 2 big turnovers and held GC out of the endzone, inside the 10 twice. Lipscomb proved to be the better of the two teams, but outside of the 2 fumbles - - could have been a 14 - 10 game. Best of luck to Lipscomb as the Region Champs, with one additional victory. Best of luck to Giles County as you re-group and travel to Creekwood next week for a big, big contest.
  14. Great opportunity for both teams on Friday night to showcase their hardwork that both teams and coaching staffs have put forth this season. There will be only one scoreboard winner walk off the field on Friday night; but two teams with winning attitudes and positive outlooks for the playoffs will walk off together. This game has the potential to be one of the greatest games in middle Tennessee this year. Forget all the public vs. private yak-yak . . . enjoy the young men, bands, cheerleaders, fans playing in a great high school match-up! Best of luck to both teams and staffs. And safe travel for the fans.
  15. Bulldog69 . . . . . . I don't believe that Supersport is a Giles County person running their mouth via this site - with imposed confidence - - - more likely it's a Page fan - trying to fire their team up. If it is a GC fan, without saying he's very dumb - lets just say he lacks some smarts, common sense, and respect. Giles County knows that Page has plenty of ability to win on Friday night - - and their coaching staff is highly respected also. Giles County has not won the last six games by overlooking and disrespecting any team; and I'm sure they will not by overlooking Page. This team is lead by 18 seniors - who I can assure you is playing ONE game at a time; win or lose. Last year GC caught Page in a down game and it's very unlikely that will happen two years in a row. If Page does wins - it won't be because GC has taken them lightly. Best of luck to both teams!
  16. You are soooo correct Hawse - - - if you're Giles County and you aren't thinking Montgomery Central - - you've got about 24 hours to get your head right or you will be in for a long night.
  17. Giles County must continue to follow the lead of their coaches this week and NOT get to looking at other games on their schedule. If they look at other games this week - they will be shocked by the effort of Montgomery Central. Take care of business - - one play at a time! There's only ONE game to be played - - the one THIS week: NOT last week . . . NOT next week . . . It's THIS week - - - Go Bobcats!
  18. County wins physical game over city, dominating 4th quarter . . . . Giles 28 - 21. P.S. - - Giles does not have to worry about Ensworth getting their program going - - - - Tonight was Giles County's stand. Ensworth can now concentrate the other D-II institutions . . . and you're correct . . . they will be a future power house. Good game Giles and Ensworth.
  19. I understand that Ensworth might have the one of the best running backs in the state, who often playing the quarterback position also. If true, he will really test the Giles County defense. And too, Enworth defensive front has completely shutdown every offense line that they have faced all year. Giles County better bring it's A-game.
  20. I understand that Ensworth's running back, who often plays the quarterback position - may very well be one of the top running backs in the state. If so, he should really test the Giles County defense. If true, GC better bring there A-game or they will be in for a long night.
  21. Giles wins 21 - 13; both teams played extremely hard. Spring Hill maybe the most improved team in Middle Tennessee, they're well coached with great corner speed. Speed in the backfield and receiving corps. Giles County and Ensworth . . . battle of the undefeated next week!
  22. I give the nod to Giles County, IF they show up ready to defend their turf, play hard nose football, and respect Spring Hill. If Giles County underestimates Spring Hill - - Spring Hill will win. The winner of this contest will line up pretty strong for a playoff spot - - after neither team making it last year. Big, big game!
  23. Maybe one of the best Region 5, 3-A games of the year. Last year both teams very young, this year both teams very explosive. Spring Hill's high power offense and Giles County solid defense. Both teams played common 4-A opponent Lawrence County toe to toe. This is a game that southern middle Tennessee football fans will not want to miss. Game to be played at Giles County. What are your predictions?
