  1. You are probbaly better off just reading post instead of posting. This thread was supposed to be about who was the better shooter and then it turned into Alex being D1 material. I posted my opinion on that in which some people agreed and then disagreed. I think that I have stated that Alex is a great kid in which I know him very well. However, my opinion about his athletic ability verses other players as well as his future beyond high school is my opinion. This is not about his character. If you can't handle that then find yourself another thread.
  2. She wasn't up for some Ms. Basketball Award. Lets be honest here, Alex, and enlighten us in on some of her indivdual awards during her career at Blackman high School including all colleges she was being recruited by since she was so impressive as well as Points per game, assists, rebounds, all county, region and state awards? If she was that impressive then lets see how much you can give all of us here?
  3. Blackman pride you are either Alex himself or his sister. There is no way on this planet that Alex is a better defender, shooter, ball handler than Cutter. If that bothers you then don't start a thread about these two kids if you can't handle opinions that don't agree with yours. The only edge Alex has over Cutter may be his attitude and ability to not cry as much. I am glad to hear that you were raised with your sister (Alex)!
  4. Blackman just flat out punched Siegel in the throat!
  5. I think he was being sarcastic. Ice Cold!
  6. It is the coaching from the players that led them to a victory over a team that beat them by 30 points at the beginning of the season.
  7. So he is outside playing basketball with his amazing sister. Sounds like you have a little crush on her. If she was that great then why wasn't she recruited by a D1 school for basketball. Alex is not being recruited by anybody as of now. So he is shooting outside. You idiot, that what he is good at. What he is not good at is quickness, strength and defensive ability. How many times have you been outside seeing him working on those things. None, becuase the athletes that don't have work ethic only want to perfect what they are good at not what they are not good at!
  8. Carter will not play D2 ball. He is to slow and can't create a shot on his own. You have to be able to do that at a D2 level as well as D1. He does not handle extreme pressure well either. Carter will be done after his senior season. I question his work ethic. I have been around this kid and his work ethci outside of the gym is horrible!
  9. Frehsman program rarely practices Several of his practices this year have been conducted by the players in his absence There are not many of his players or parents that respect him the least bit Turnham has a great group of freshman on the varsitythat are already contributing and several on the freshman squad that will have an impact at a later time. However, that program has been known for losing good players because of teh lack of quality coaching at the freshman level.
  10. He is Turnham assistant and freshman coach.
  11. Turnham may be a good coach but his Freshman program is in real touble. Voss is a complete idiot. That will come back to haunt him.
  12. You are right but Michael Jordans momma did not make that decision for him!
  13. Why should we come back and see what he does, heck, if he was that good then he would be starting on Varsity right now, we wouldn't have to wait! Who cares about what he did against Middle School Basketball. .
  14. How bad would he do me in? That is about as stupid as your last post! If he was that good then he would be playing varsity.
  15. LOL That is to funny! Kerry Hammonds the best athlete ever to come out of the mid-state! Do you all realize that he was supposedly being recruited byNorth carolina his 8th grade year? I wonder who spread that one? Kerry, Momma, or Daddy! Why is he not playing Varsity? Answer: It would look bad for the second coming of Jordan not to not make a major impact on varsity his freshman year and play second fiddle to Marc Gooch.
  16. Now I am really confused! How could harris done the best he could if he never had control from the beginning. Then he should have done it from day one.
  17. No wonder you are confused, you can't read! Here let me quote what I said! "Don't make excuses. Give White Creek credit. Siegel nation talked much trash on threads all week (Which is all in good fun) and now that their season is over they spend much time developing new threads making excuses and trashing other teams" There was nothing ever said about being not welcomed! Read one word at a time and maybe you will get it the second time around! I also stated it was in good fun, meaning, that there was nothing wrong with it. However, win Siegel lost, then threads are used to make excuses and new ones are opened up to continue the season. We will see how you all feel about Dotson next year and the years to come . Mad props! (Ha)
  18. "A lot of non Siegel fans have said Siegel has no discipline. It is very hard to say...Coach Harris seems to give the kids a lot of rope. Hopefully, he knows when to pull them in. You have to remember, he is still learning and those kids were very talented. It will be interesting to watch Siegel over the next few yrs if Coach Harris stays" Coach Harris isn ot going anywhere. To the general public, they will not hire Dotson. They would let a monkey coach the team before they gave it to him. It is not hard to say............... He gives them to much rope. You don't let high school kids decide how the team is going to be run. Do you think college coaches do that? Heck no!!!!!!!!!!!!! His job is to prepapre these kids for life and for college. Do you think St. Johns will put of Jimmy Odem antics. Come on man! Learning or not learning he was hired to coach these kids which means leadership in growing as a player, student and individual. It is about teaching these kids about life, learning how to handle defeat, showing respect for each other and the other opponent, not letting talented players dictate the way things are to be run because it is an easy ticket back to the State Tournamnet.
  19. He might be the man you want but trust me that doesn not mean that is the man the administration wants.
  20. You and me both! Being desparate when you are only down four before half? Those college coaches were ripping the Siegel coaches all night. Chris Harris is a good person and probably is a good coach in some ways. However, he has no discipline and you won't ever win the big games without discipline. Those problems they had were not just about the players, they were him allowing it to go on. That is your job as a caoch to get control or get rid of them. As far as Dotson? If he gets that job, all I can say is HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  21. Siegel was outplayed and outcoached as well. Yes, the referees made horrible calls on both ends. It was the worst I have seen so far in the tournament and I hate that for both teams when you are supposed to have the best referees at the State. TSSAA ought to be embarrassed. Then again it is the TSSAA! The fact is that they got beat by a team that wanted it more. If Siegel wanted it then they have to learn that the sucess they had in their season means nothing when they get to the state. Everybody is 0-0! I understnad that they did not play well at all. However, their shooting is not what got them beat. They played no defense, they did not box out and rebound over a smaller team and they had no intensity on either end. The only kids that played hard when they were playing was Cutter and Harper! Everyone else was just going through the motions. There was no sense of urgency at any time. They played good in spurts but choosing when and where you want to put forth the effort in a state tournament is not going to get you results. Honestly, I don't blame the kids as much as I do the coaches. That was as poor of a coached game than it was played. Siegel was not mentally ready. It is the coaches job to get the kids mentally ready and the kids job to execute. I sat beside a college recruiter and one of his assistant coaches as they were scouting. They even made comments about the Siegel coaches having lack of discipline on their team. They laughed when the Siegel head coach put one his better post players (which had three fouls at the time) back in the game with 1:20 in the 2nd quarter. That put that player in position to pick up his fourth foul before half time (When they need him more in the second half) and the team in an even worse situation. That just shows how prepared the coaches were. The assistant coach was subbing in players off the bench as the head coach had no idea who was going in and coming out. Don't make excuses. Give White Creek credit. Siegel nation talked much trash on threads all week (Which is all in good fun) and now that their season is over they spend much time developing new threads making excuses and trashing other teams.
