  2. Maybe because he is 'just a freshman'? (I say that partly in jest... same problem I have when they say someone at the Olympics was great, but they are 'young') I can't remember who my Top 10 were, but I'm sure I put Dunn on my list... when I looked at his stats today, I was even thinking the arguement could be made for Tourny mvp (definately NOT trying to start a debate about it in this thread, just saying I noticed Dunn had some good numbers), great free throw percentage... I don't remember him as much in the first game, but he caught my eye in the championship game...
  3. Wednesday will be Smith/Livingston at 6:30, followed by York/Upperman at 8...

  10. Very true Postplayer... that was the point of my post in the other thread about this championship game... teams work hard to take away opportunities for a great play, and that opens up shots for other players on the team. And while two players are double teaming Brown or Hembree, it's that team effort on defense that is required to prevent the other players from having easy open shots. I guess that's what makes it a 'team' sport, right? I'm looking forward to this game, and hope it lives up to my expectations lol oh, also... go Owls
  11. I think that will be the key to the game. The first time they played this season, SC doubled Brown in the first half, holding her to 3 points, and the rest of York was 4/18 shooting 3s. SC led 27-18 at the half. In the 3rd quarter, York came out and hit 6/8 3s to take a 41-34 lead into the 4th quarter. And Brown only scored 2 points in the 3rd. York won the game 54-46, with Brown scoring 11 points, which was 3rd best on her team that night. Want to guess what happened in the second game at York? First half, Brown had 5 points, rest of York was 3/10 shooting 3s, SC led at the half 32-25. Second half, York was 2/4 shooting 3s, SC tried to slow the game down, and York won by 2, 50-48 (with Brown blocking a Hembree shot with seconds left, if I recall correctly). My predictions for this game? Should be fun to watch two great teams play. My guess is the team that scores the most points will win! )
  12. I've got a sheet listing the brackets for next week, but it's at home. I'll check it later today and repost for you here.

  15. The Owlettes owe their success to Monica? no, my humble opinion is that they owe all their success this season to whoever keeps their stats at games! )
  16. I notice my post is a year later, but thought I'd comment just for the record... I created my own method for compiling stats using Excel spreadsheets. Since I keep the paper scorebook for the team, I needed a quick method to transfer everything I keep in the book to the computer during breaks in the game and/or between quarters. I am able to provide printouts for the coaches(and radio) at halftime and after the game. I'll eventually switch to a program like one mentioned in the above posts, or create my own for a palm device. Two questions I had for those of you using palm programs already... Does the software keep track of game time? One thing I currently do is track the actual game minutes for players, and I don't want to lose that feature. Does the software allow you to track both teams stats, or just one? and yes, I do love keeping stats at games! )
  17. Is there a schedule out yet for the tournament? Not who is playing who, but when the games are scheduled? Day/time of the games at Tech?
