Read my earlier post Great district on that we all agree... But how do you think ya'll are just going to walk into the 'boro ? look at Grace, Temple, Cosby Culleoka, Clay, Friendship, etc... I think there will be a FEW teams out there that still have have a little more bball in them AGAIN... don't count those chickens just yet!!

The whole thing with polls is most voters never see these teams play. My point was Pickett's record is as good as some of the other teams these voters never see!

Cully is in the mid as well as Friendship and Clay... still think one of those 3 + Grace and Temple can play with the west.

I think it's pretty good but I think a 22-6 Pickett County teams deserves some consideration. I know the west people disagree that would mean one of their teams [uC 23-7 or others with 5 loses ] wouldn't be there. I really believe the west will be surprised when they see the rest of the state can play some bball ,too!

Again with the toughest road. Balanced district yes... best district top to bottom yes... but look at the rest of the schedule of these teams ... not that impressive. As I have said on here before to be the best you have to beat the best... and the best is still in front of you! Good luck and we'll see who the best is in the next few weeks.

If " the freshman " does play I'll take WC in a close game. McFarlin doesn't run the floor very well and if WC pushes the ball it will be to their advantage. MJ doesn't have the quickness at post that WC does but their guards are a little quicker... so if the refs let them play I'll stick with my pick.

What class?? Most all are comle if you go back to "view new post " at the top you will see district tournaments pinned if that doen't help and you are talking about class A or AAA ican help.

hewy, thanks for the compliment but the past few years we just don't seem to bring our best games at regions. Clay, Jackson, and Pickett all have teams that have advanced in the last few years and hopefully we can have a region tourney where everyone is healthy and we bring our A game. I do believe our depth is a key factor because our 10 players that play the most are all pretty equal, there really isn't a drop when we substitute. Hopefully that will pay off now. Guess we will see in the next few weeks!

I think Cully is ready for this... all they need to do is play their game and not look down the road. Cully by 14 CA by 7.

FCS beat Trousdale 3 times this year by an average of 21 points. This ain't football! Gordonsville or Westmoreland actually give FCS a better game.

I still think BALANCED is a better word. 14A is the toughest district because everyone's got about the same talent and the other side of the region is real weak! The real test doesn't start until AFTER region... and it is sad because one really good team won't get out of regions.

In districts I believe they will finish second to Friendship In region I think they can win 1 game but that is all I believe their season ends in the semi-finals at region.

I think the first round will play out just like it should with the top 4 seeds playing on Wed. FCS vs. Trousdale and Gordonsville vs. Westmoreland. I think both of these will be great games but this is how I see them playing out... In the 1st one I just believe FCS has a deeper bench and a little more height than any team in district, TC has lots of fight and if Harper gets hot it could be interesting. FCS by 7. The second one could be really close Westmoreland is playing better the last few weeks but i believe G'ville's height and quick guards hod on in a close one G'ville by 3.

I believe that's all it is ... a chance. I do think AA is where a west team will get the ball but in AAA & A I think teams from the east and mid have as good a shoy or better to win a championship.

Still amazes me how no small [ 1A ] teams get any credit!!! In the mid state you have Culleoka 24-2 and Friendship Christian 25-3 but I guess this is just a " big boy " poll. Oh isn't BA a D2 school ? Nothing like having high profile players!!

I looked a little down the road and IF we get a substate we go east but looks like if ya'll go to subs you get a chance to show some west team mid tn knows a little bit of bball!!

crep it amazes me the folks from the west haven't even seen us play and we are both ranked in the top 5 in state and yet they are going to run through 1A !! guess they next couple of weeks may surprisr them!!!

Once again the west thinking!! Look at the top teams in 1A. I believe Friendship, Cosby, Culleoka,Grace, Temple and several other teams from Mid and East will play with/beat any teams from the West. Oh yeah and there are a few team from the 'boro who will figure into that AAA tourney as well!!

enigma sorry 'bout that. you misunderstood my point. I think everybody out there thinks district 7 is going to beat district 8 sooo bad at the regions but i think our top 4 [whoever they may be] will be very competetive with them.
