Don't know about injuries else where but the Lady Commanders of Friendship appear ready to make another run at the state A title. With a 4 deep pitching staff including Cumberland signee Courtney Carr looks like they have enough to make a great run again.

I know Friendship Christian is playing Tullahoma, Berden, Shelbyville and Franklin Co. I know they play in Tullahoma Friday @ 11:00 and 1:30. Saturday they play in Shelbyville. That is all I can tell you.

Hadn't been on this thread for awhile, great post bystander. Reality is what it is... oh by the way if the Rangers do call I need that same salary for being the bullpen catcher !!!

I don't know this is one ( of several examples ) "ya'lls coaches " and most of your "statistics" and info seem a little slanted to the public view point.

WOW laz now you really have me confused...you have a child who went to a private school ? Was it a bad experience since you seem to really dislike the privates now ?

Imagine the nerve of those privates... don't they understand their place ? Don't they understand the are just supposed to be institutions of higher learning for the rich white kids ? And now they've gone out and started letting good athletes come in their schools and dang if their not competitive !!! In some cases they are winning district and region championships !!! They must be cheating!!! Offering free education or something... See how dumb all that sounds !!! Most of you who are so opposed to private schools have most likely never taken the time to go to an open house or talked to one of the principals or... I for one wished I had gone the private route way before my son's senior year in high school.

That's the answer let's just do away with sports that will solve the problem. How about we get a governing body that looks for solutions instead of caving in to "peer pressure" ? One that looks for real solutions instead of quick fixes ? I think we could find ways (that have been mentioned on here) but it is idiotic to think about doing away with sports.

Well put supersteve... alot of people make this simply an athletic decsion but that forget "in God we trust". THAT is the main issue that led my family and a son who was a senior in high school to a "Christian school atmosphere..." Bravo for this post.

Not very smart sharptop. So publics don't play privates and replace them on their schedule with a weaker opponent ... who does that help ? Not to mention the lost revenue that helps keep BOTH public and private athletics going. I know there are many instances out there but I only put personal knowledge on here. Trousdale County vs. Friendship... it doesn't matter where they play the crowd is standing room only... tell Clint or John they can't play each other any more and I assure you, you won't like the answer. The hatred for private schools is an age old hate ... people assume EVERYONE that attends are rich, spoiled, silver tounge kids with stuck-up, snobby parents. I can assure you that's not the case every where. I know many parents who make great sacrifices to make sure their kids can attend schools in the private sector. My son only has gone to a private school for one year and after being there this year I would have sacrificed alot more for him to have attended at least his whole high school carrer. But your attittude is like most who don't know... let's just don't play them that 'll show them !!! If it is truly about the kids (which in my case it is ) I want my child to be the best at EVERYTHING they can not just sports and I feel we gave him a better opportunity academaclly as well as athletically by moving him out of an over crowded and outdated school into one where education still matters.

I agree with you...7 errors didn't help but Coach Mac got their attention as yesterday they beat MJCA 28-0. Still alot of baseball left and Coach Mac has a way of peaking his teams when needed. Also 3 transfers that will help will be back with 1 coming this next week.

If you read my whole post on the bonds and steriods post you will see I said you COULD see the difference in bonds... what do you see with BA ... NOTHING. Just accusations not proof. What the TSSAA accused them of is NOT a violation of anything. If you see something more please enlighten us because the TSSAA and all it's high paid lawyers couldn't find it.

I think you have to include Forrest in this group. ( and ya'll know I am not from Forrest !)

But see Indian that is the reason for private schools. It isn't just athletics it is an enviroment where kids are given an opportunity to excell. I know many people who work extra jobs ( me included ) to send their kids to a place where education is the #1 goal. This also gives kids who want the things you mentioned ( higher ACT, college prep., want to learn...) a place they can do those things. If just anyone were allowed to walk in what would be the point ?

"No one wants to go on record"... don't you think if there were all that much illegal things going on that sooner or later someone would be unhappy about something and blow the whistle ? ( much like Canseco in baseball ) To say this is like Bonds and steriods is stupid. Bonds added 20 lbs. of muscle in 1 year and it was very clear something changed in him. You are talking accusations that have NO PROOF. I do believe Bonds took steriods but I have yet to hear or see a story that gives me proof anything ( more than a TSSAA & Carter witch hunt ) took place at BA. Friday night lights was simply a book and movie about some good football programs in Texas. Is that what you mean when you said " this could become the modern day book on high school football " that someone could say BA had a good football program?
