I think South Doyle with the pitching and hitting they have would do well in a best of three series. I mean there top three pitchers are going D1. and the rest of their team has pretty much already signed with good colleges.

I agree. DB is a good team but i believe SD has a better chance of making it to state because of their pitching rotation. Their top 3 pitchers are all tough to handle. If im not mistaken, I believe all 3 of them are going D1. Not to mention that SD can also stroke the ball.

Another great game tonight between two district rivals. Another win in walk off fashion. Two great games.

Great 1st game tonight between Seymour and Gibbs. It went back and fourth the whole game and Seymour scored 3 runs in the bottom of the 7th to come back and win.

South Doyle has to be mentioned in this topic. All three outfielders are going on to play college ball. They get the best jumps I have ever seen in the outfield. Not to mention they all have above average arms.

I second this the statement above, obviously the people who didnt have Seymour as the top team in the county have not lived here long. I would like to congratulate Sevier County on actually scoring against Seymour. When they scored the first run of the game and made it 1-0 they acted like they had just won state. Obviously that score did not last too long. The list of top teams in the county NOW goes as followed..... 1.Seymour 2.Sevier Co. 3.Pigeon Forge 4.Gatlinburg Pitman

Gibbs and Seymour play next Mon and Tues. The new format is that the top two teams get to host the district games instead of having it played at one place.

I agree. I mean batting average is a good stat, but hits do not mean anything if your team can not produce runs.

Seymour swept the series with Carter this week. Was i reading the box score right when i saw that Alcoa only had 3 hits vs Fulton?

Brentz to the bigs huh, he's good but not that good. He pitched against Morristown West and Morristown West won 5-4

I saw Goodpasture play in the Sportsbelle Classic and they are a pretty solid team. I saw Darnell through and it would be hard to imagine them having much after he throws. They didnt put up many hits against D-B at Lindsey Nelson, but it was also really cold. I think D-B had like 7 errors but you have to give Goodpasture credit for taking advantage of them, thats what good teams do. I also saw them play Farragut and that game didnt go to well for them, if i were guessing i would say that probably was not one of there top pitchers throwing. But i would put them in the top 5 AA teams in state.

Yea now Pigeon Forge has to battle GP for the bottom of the County.

I think USJ has beat some good teams this year, and according to the schedule on coacht Ripley plays only 3 triple AAA teams and they play 7 single A teams. And so far Ripley is (0-2) against AAA teams.

Alcoa needs to rebound tonight against Gibbs, if not they could find themselves out of the race for the top spot in district.

Yea Rutledge should have no problem coming out of their district. But how is their region looking with happy valley, elizabethon, sullivan north, and unicoi?
