With the construction at APSU are they changing the jamboree schedule and locations this year? I know last year they were at Ft. Campbell and APSU.
Who is everyone playing this year? Has a full schedule been released yet?
Congrats to coaches Josh Stuart and Aaron Nicholson and the entire Cheatham County Cubs Boys Basketball Team on a historic season. 21-0 = the first team in the history of the county to make it through an entire regular season undefeated. Also, even though he no longer teaches or coaches, I would be forgetting a major part if I didn't say congrats to coach Chris Dawson. The entire Ashland City community should be proud of what this program has accomplished over the last three seasons. 72 wins in 84 overall games (a 0.857 winning %) during that span = INCREDIBLE!
A former Kenwood head coach will apply I am sure. The question will be whether or not Northeast meets his demands. I'm sure an assistant on the last staff will apply. I'm also sure that an experienced Metro assistant at a traditional winning school will put his name in the hat.
Speaking of Lebanon Blue Devils I think Brian Black is a solid addition to your football and baseball coaching staffs. He's a bright young guy who brings plenty of knowledge.
The three Cheatham County schools finished in the "last three spots" in the district. The direct cause of those results are very obvious. White House, Westmoreland, and Greenbrier will continue to dominate the district in 2014. White House-Heritage is/has always been overrated but in spite of that they are still better than what's beneath them.
That's what I am wondering. Northeast didn't play "their studs" throughout the game versus Kenwood but you cannot say that it is what "lost the game" for them. Even when the starters were on the field Kenwood moved the football offensively.
Bryson Rosser played QB at TSU in the early 00s. He was there during the same period of time as was Kenton Evans and Riley Walker and played under James Reese. I saw him play in person in a Thursday night game at Martin in '04. He was a tough player with decent talent.
Metro is always long at deciding a coach and most times it's a "bonehead/in house" hire that puts a program behind for 2-3 more years (and the job opens again). If they'll extend out to RA there's no doubt he takes the job. There's also little doubt that RC would remain on the staff. There's also a strong possibility that TH would come on board as a volunteer assistant as well. I can't speak for TM but if he had the option I think it would be in his best interest to stay.
I would then take a guess and say that SB who used to teach/coach in MNPS (ironically at the same school as RA) would be the new chief Warrior when all is said and done.
Vernon Wright has a Kenwood background. Arrington, Lamb, Bauer, McCaslin, and Figeroua have all coached at Kenwood as well. I'd feel pretty safe in saying Goltra is out of the question.
