I would have to agree with you nohitter. I've watched JP for the past 3 or 4 years and no one said she was the next big thing I'm simply stating that she is a good player who on a team that has not had a very good win loss record should want to keep his best player on the team, and IMO she was one of the best players he had on his roster. No she is no Danielle Pieroni but to say she is only an average pitcher/player is false. Once again good JP.

I know Jessica Porter and from what I've seen from the middle infield JP is as good or better then both. When she wasn't picthing he should have played her at 2nd or SS. But like you said he's the coach and it's his team to screw up. Good luck JP.

I've heard from a couple of different people say that Wendi and Katie Smith both of whom played on State Championship team. I don't know this for sure but I heard that both of them have made the comment that they wouldn't come here and coach for the way Coach Childres was done, and I can't say that I blame them. I hope they take our time and do this right.

your right wingman she was very good, but look where it got her. It got her fired from Law. Co high, but she is now better off. She is now coaching as an assistant at Tn. Tech.

IMO this all started when they fired Coach Childres. I mean she won a bunch of games at Law Co. and just because some girls didn't like her coaching style and thought she was to hard on them they threaten to quit if she is still there. So they fire her. It has been the same with every other Coach they have hired since. Larry said it right the last thing Law. Co. needs to do is get the families involved any more then they already are. I really think they are going to have a hard time getting a good guaility coach in there due to the fact if things aren't done the way the families think they should be they all start wanting to fire the coach. Who would want to come into a situation like that?

Thanks! I had already looked at last season's schedule/results, however I was wondering if these teams would be about the same, worse, or better? I know Springhill for instense you can't look at last years schedule and see how they competed last season because most peolple say that they will be much better this season. Also I see that Richland went 13-10 last year, but I'm hearing from others that they want be as good this year. So I was only trying to get a fell as to what these school brought to the table this year. Thanks for your help though.

Who did Coffee County play in the play day, and which team beat them?

Lawrence County won 4 of their 5 games. They lost to Giles County 5-3 on Friday night, and beat Zion 3-0. On Saturday they beat Lewis County 4-1, Mt. Pleasent 3-0, and Perry County 9-0.

How does this work? Do the girls pitch from 40 feet and the boy's pitch from 65 feet? Someone please tell me the rules of the battle of the sexes. I'd like to see this done at our school. I think our girls could take the boy's.

I really think that if Lawrence County can get some confidence then I'm onfident that they'll win more then they'll lose. Now does that mean that they want finish last in the district, I don't know becuase this is a strong district to play in no matter what the sport is. I just think the girls have been working harder in the off season to prepare for this season. Let the games begin, and I wish all these schools the best of luck.

Can anyone tell me anything about what Giles County will have this year and what Lewis County will have in 10AA? I've heard that they both should compete in that district this year, however they are in there with Marshall County who I know has been picked to win that district since they just lost 1 or 2 players off the state championship team of last year. So if anyone knows much about Giles County and Lewis County let me know what you've heard.

I've heard throught the grape fine that Lawrence County has 3 or 4 good freshman that has been added to this years team that should make an impact on this season. Like someone mentioned in an earlier post this team has alot of talented softball players. If their coaches can get these girls to believe in their talents then they can and will be a force to deal with in the very near future.
