  13. It's a list of the top 44 prep prospects in Tennessee listed in alphabetical order. It has their name, position, height/weight and school. Thanks to all of you that have helped with compiling the list and to those who have ordered the magazine. We may try ranking them next year. I'd have to get more information to do that though. I don't want to just haphazzardly rank a bunch of players. I'll consult CoachT and get some ideas from him. Don
  14. Thanks for the comments. I'm sure there are some other good players that should be on the list but who do we take off? Also, I made an error with Golden Tate's name in the magazine. He's probably one the top prospects in the state and I screw his name up. I will personally call him and apologize to him. Don Yates VandyMania the Magazine!

  16. It can be ordered online at the link below: http://www.vandymania.com/magazine/Orderform4.htm?ref=coacht It's not 2 teams. It's just the top 44 college prospects in Tennnessee. I'll post the 44 players here soon. Don
  17. Help me out. I know some have already been mentioned but who do you guys think are the top 10 Tennessee Prep Football juniors for 2006? These guys will be juniors during 2006. Please respond with their Position, Name, HT/WT, school and some accomplishments. A recruiting expert from Scout.com is putting together a list of the top 100 junior prep prospects from TN. He wants my input for Tennessee kids. I'd like your input! Thanks! Don Yates VandyMania.com/Scout.com
  18. Rivals does have a nice database. They have good volume. Scout.com has quality. The Birmingham News recently did a study of the two recruiting giants and found Scout.com was more accurate in their prospect ratings. They really both have some things to learn. I do agree that Scout has some work to do in its coverage of Tennessee prospects. That's something I'm trying to fix and this Super 44 team is one of the ways I'm doing it. I plan to get all these guys in the Scout.com database (many of them already are in there). One thing I think you'll find in Scout's database has more free info. Rivals charges for just about everything. Scout gives a lot of free info out that Rivals charges for. I appreciate all your input. I'm made a few changes accordingly. Don Yates VandyMania.com/VandyMania the Magazine! Scout.com
  19. Hi, this is Don Yates from VandyMania.com again. I asked a while back for the top 50 prep football prospects in Tennessee (these guys would be seniors for the 2006 season). I got a lot of input from you guys and used a lot of the folks you nominated. Here is my Super 44 Tennessee team as it stands now. Do you guys see any glaring errors or missing super stars? I appreciate your input. These guys will be listed in our 2006 Vanderbilt Football Preview mag which will be going to the printers soon. Please, lets not get into smack talk with one another. 21. Hello, I'm Don Yates with VandyMania, Scout.com's Vanderbilt site. I'm working on my 2006 VandyMania the Magazine football preview. One section of the magazine has the to 50 senior prep football prospects in Tennessee. These guys would be seniors during the upcoming 2006 season. Do you guys have any suggestions for the list? If you have any ideas, either reply to this note or send me an email to: don321vu-top50@yahoo.com Please give me their name, Position(s), HT/WT, High School and some of their achievements. Thanks! Don Yates VandyMania.com
  22. I've had a big response regarding the Tuscaloosa combine. Here is more Scout.com combine dates/locations: Waco, Texas March 11 Jacksonville, Fla. March 19 Durham, N.C. March 26 Tuscaloosa, Ala. April 29 Boca Raton, Fla. May 13 Louisville, Ky May 20 This combine if for boni fide division 1 prospects. If you are interested in attending or are a coach that has a player that you think should attend, please email me at the below address. don321vu-combineATyahoo.com Replace "AT" with @ . This is a spam prevention measure. Don Yates VandyMania.com/ Scout.com
  23. Nike Camps are good too but I think if I was a highly rated prospect I'd want to do a Scout.com combine because then I'd have a better chance of making that U.S. Army All-American game. That game has the best High School players in the America playing on National Television. If you make it to that game you get great exposure for yourself and your high school team. Thanks to all those that have emailed me about the Scout.com combine. We want a good representation of Tennessee prep players down there. Don
  24. Scout.com is looking for top prep players to participate in a combine on April 29th in Tuscaloosa, Ala. Normally current juniors go to these combines. It's a good way to get noticed early on by college recruiters and Scouts. If you'd like to participate, please send me an email at the below address: don321vu-combineATyahoo.com Replace "AT" with @ . This is a spam prevention measure. Thanks! Don Yates Scout/ Vanderbilt
