  1. Beech hits Gray this time. Beech wins.
  2. I think all of Beech's outfield key, Grizzard, and King have signed with Vol State. Yhey must be pretty good.
  3. Heard Beech won, but I do not hve details. Does anyone know?
  4. How did Beech do against WH yesterday? I heardW/H is young?
  5. Agreed, an absurd post, small minded at best, waddle past the testosterone drenched ideals and come to earth. Beech has alot of baseball guys, means nothing, so does the Yanks.(plus the highest paid) Balderdash!!! Means squat. Winning at baseball is alot like life and relationships. For all to come together as one, day after day, takes like-minded people who are on the same page, every single day. One focus, one pitch at a time, one bat at a time, one goal at a time, and 1 situation at a time. Hitting is wisdom in the presence of proper expectation, in contol of emotion, splashed with a dose of luck, tempered with the understanding that we are all created equal and in the great scheme of things a bad at bat will be picked up by a teammate that's a great friend who feels your pain and gives support, win or lose. 9AAA will be won by a team..........
  6. It's early, not much happening at the plate for some of these teams yet. The Smyrna, MJ, and Beech contests will be good. Even though Beech returns many, they have difficulty with good pitching at the plate. I think Beech goes to Whitehouse today. To be in the hunt in 9AA somebody better develop some confidence at the plate or it will be a year of super pitchers and just average everything else. Got to have more than just some desire to hit now. Bettter know your competition and play small, react big, and know when to just play the game. Smart execution and situational play is all that will overcome great pitching. Coaches can teach it, but only the smart get a base ( and of course occasionally the lucky)
  7. Smyran with Gray. Mt juliet with Hill? How does everyone else feel/
  8. (AAA pretty tought what about Hville, Mt Juliet, Beech, and Wilson Central (are they inthere?)
  9. Big round ball huh? I thought you were a small ball guy? The kind that curves, drops, and runs especially on a hot day while enjoying a cool drink, is that really your preference??
  10. Good game BUCS and coaches. Nice to see everyone loosen up a bit. Hitting wasn't that great overall but Ebinger did a good job. Nobody got rattled, it was one play at a time. Coach H did a fine job also as we had a couple of chances to make it hurt and didn't capitalize. Great timely hit by Grizzard. Good job on the hill Hendren. Back to work now..
  11. That's correct, but what's also correct is that no one got plunked, no one accused anyone of plunking anyone, and they shook hands like gentelmen, took their loss in a respectful manner. Like I said before no excuses. These guys will not win them all, there are 6-7 juniors starting and everybody they face will respect their level of play....win or lose.
  12. I heard that too. I do not think there is anything behind that except that he wanted to have a relaxed sr yr, make some college visits, and prepare for life after high school. He's a great kid, I know he will do well in anything that he pursues. I guess the job is Markum's to lose. He's got the tools as long as he stays focused and doesn't get down mentally when things get shakey. Go for it AM.
  13. Hey private email me about that next Inbred Hick Club meeting I might want to join. Er you'ins serve up any possum stew or pick an grin any??
  14. could he have begun to get tired and a bit erratic? Or maybe he just didn't want Lavergne to get a 3rd look? Sounds like good coaching to me?
