  1. Clayton's job to lose simply because I do not think that many applied for this job. Clayton's track record is above average in the win/loss columns. Clayton has a Williamson County connection with current principal Shrader. Shrader probably thinks that Clayton can win in the current district because he has already done it. It does not take a rocket scientist to figure that one out. Getting a staff together will be a struggle. I am pretty sure that Hillsboro's staff this past year was mostly out of the building. Sandpiper why do you want to know all the answers as to why I know such things? Most of what I know is common sense around these parts. If you want to know the answers just ask the fork.
  2. Job is Clayton's to lose. Shrader thinks the guy can win and is probably one of only a few that actually applied for this job. It is not the job that it once was. Hillsboro's only chance at success is to go back to the disrict of the other MNPS schools.
  3. Fork, a while back I predicted new head coaches at several schools. I was correct about all but two at this point. Bubba is sticking at Hillwood it appears as is Anderson at Overton. If and when Anderson does step down who do you see going for that one? Would there be any outside interest and would any former Overton players/coaches be interested?
  4. Fork it is not personal for me. I was not interviewed! I would have been a good choice though. However, I do not have college coaching experience. Heck, I dont even have high school coaching experience which is probably why I was not interviewed. You are right, Woodward is not much of a celebrater. However, I am sure there was a bit of a sigh of relief. Sorry to doubt the fork. Wont happen again!
  5. My comment was based off of my opinion that better coaches for this job were interviewed. I see this hire being a mistake in that the principal should have gone with the best coach/teacher in her opinion, not someone else's. In my opinion Reese wanted the college coach all along and was going to do all he could to get his buddy the job. Each person was asked if he had college coaching experience. It would have been known by looking at the resumes if the coach had college experience. If you want the best coach why not go ahead and ask if you have professional coaching experience. Simple, he wanted a college coach. Bridges were burned by wasting everyone's time when a decision was made a long time ago. Even the fork knew of this way back when CR first opened. I hope the new coach does well and I wish him luck. Time will tell if it is the right choice.
  6. Cane Ridge makes huge mistake. Decision made. Fork right all along. Reese too strong of force. Many bridges burned. Future of CR up in smoke. AHS must be celebrating tonight.
  7. Run I lost your email so email me. Need to ask you something.
  8. What is going to happen Fork? I hear interviews were last week and decision is going to be made by Wednesday.
  9. I don't think Parks would be the best choice at this point. There needs to be a new direction for the program at CR. I do not know if you would get that with Parks. Rutherford Co man is a journeyman. He has been to several schools most recently Blackman. Sources say he has only been there for a short time. Third man has been in the area before and could do well. Just my opinion though and Reese's and Wall's are the one's that matter.
  10. Only slightly north and to the west. References have been checked. Sources say college coach who is Reese's buddy won't be chosen. Best teacher with best references is man of red and black. Best coach too!
  11. Stratford and East have now been filled. CR and HHS should be done this week. Most say Clayton at HHS and down to 3 at CR.
  12. Coach Pitts from WC has been named head coach. Interesting hire. Article says he was OC and assistant HC. WC went 0-10 last year.
  13. Congratulations Coach W! Now for Stratford, CR, and Hillsboro. I have heard nothing about Stratford since someone said WC OC. Nothing on Hillsboro. My guess is still a Williamson County connection. CR is down to black and red men and a college coach. My guess is one of the two men with black and red if Wall makes choice, college coach if Reese makes the choice. Just a question: Why do some administrators get so caught up in trivial things. Examples: Reese wanting a college coach and Indy wanting music city miracle man. Why not just hire the best coach period. Would you rather have Gary Rankin or a DIII coach with no high school head coaching experience? Would you rather have George Quarles or Al Del Grecco? I just don't get it so try to enlighten me please.
  14. Fork you are right about college coach and Reese wanting to bring him in! I did some searching, high and low, and found that Darth Reese consistently asked if there was college coaching experience. Again, just because you have been a college coach does not necessarily mean a whole lot. It could mean you just had the right connections to get your foot in the door before they kicked you right back out. Wall needs to stick to her guns and go with one of the other two. My guess is the winner will be the one who has worn the black and red. Ha Ha Ha
  15. Still strong with you fork. Reese has a lot of pull. Executive principal is as strong as a brick WALL though. She should trust her instincts if she wants a change.
  16. CR is a mess because that was the tone that was set early on. The new principal is trying to change that. The decision has not been made yet. Final interviews to come. If principal is smart she will make the decision not Reese. No disrespect to him but she is the executive principal.
  17. Fork is correct. If Reese is involved then I am afraid the college coach might get the nod due to Reese thinking college experience will be better. This is not always the case. Look at Warren County as a great example. They had a former arena league HC as their head coach and two former D1 players as assistants. All that experience got them zero wins. Principal needs to go with her gut on this one!
  18. Now you're playing the game! Both last names start with a W.
  19. Job has been decided by administration for a while.
  20. He supposedly applied at CR. Probably not. I could see him being a DC somewhere but not a HC.
  21. As runtheball said we should know something this week on East and Stratford. Cane Ridge will be next week. Hillsboro probably two weeks out. If Gore goes to Brentwood then probably looking at March before McGavock gets filled. I think all four current openings are filled with fresh faces. Stratford supposedly going with WC OC, East probably going with outside coach too, Cane Ridge is wide open, and Hillsboro may go with a surprise. I think Shrader goes with someone with Williamson County connections but not Clayton.
  22. Pretty sure he is talking about a former Antioch area coach that now has ties to the land of the Irish.
  23. My statement dealt with the statement that Coach A was not considered because he did not want anything to do with the parents. He may have applied but I doubt he said anything about having the parents stay out of the program.
