Humboldt played a great game tonight. Rashad Wade looked like his old self hitting 3's. Tevin's first dunk was very nice, but Charles' dunk on 2 of their guys plus the foul was the best! The score could've been higher, but we passed the ball around alot looking for the open/best shot. If #10 for Scotts Hill was supposed to be faster than our guard (#3), then there may not be many fast people down south. He was a pretty good guard, but not "great" as he was made out to be. He over-exaggerated nearly every pass he had. #15 lit it up from behind the arc! #22 was hitting everything in warm up, but was only like 1 of 8 during the game. He may have gotten scared. Scotts Hill does have a pretty good team, but need more size in order to compete. We have caused many matchup problems through the season because of our size, so you weren't the only team. I didn't compare him to Bucky...Buick...whatever his name is. These guys have different styles of play anyway. If I want a post man, I would take Buick. If I wanted a slasher or scorer, then I would take Crayton. Games are 6 1/2 hours away! I just went and bought my ticket at the school for the game and there were only about 75 or so left out of 750!

From what I've heard, SH likes to slow down the game. I say start off in our normal press and get the fast tempo going. I know they have that one good PG, but IDK if they have another guard who can get it up the floor once he gets trapped. The house is going to be RoCkIn' in Humboldt tomorrow night! I'm going to get there @ about 6:00 to make sure I can get a good seat!

From what I've heard about it, it it will be like this: First, the guy will draw the name of the school out of a hat. Then, he will place that team in one part of the bracket, and he will then take the other winner of substate from the same region and put them on the other side of the bracket. So, like last year, they probably drew UC first, so they went ahead and put Manassas on the other side of the bracket. That's what I understand from it.

yea, trust me, I've been keeping up with these recruits ever since last summer (mainly Wall and Henry). If we can sign Wall and Cousins (which Cousins I feel like we've got him wrapped up) then like you said, we should be the favorite. We also have the 2 JUCO transfers coming in, and we have the 4 star forward (Matt Simpkins) from last years class, but hasn't played many minutes this year. I think Coach Cal is going to have to do some maneuvering of scholarships if we plan on getting all of these guys coming in though. O...Evans is out the door. He should stay and work on his shot. He's not consistent at all. If he stays another year though, IDK if we'll get Wall.

I've been saying that all year! CDR came into Memphis his freshman year and didn't really have the D-1 level ball-handling skills, but could still penetrate into the lane and hit a jumper. Tevin can play at a mid-major D-1 school. I would've said Memphis a about 5 years ago, but we're going after the top 10 recruits in the nation! lol

Yea, but I wouldn't expect Charles to miss it though. This is his senior year, and I would expect him to play, maybe even just a minimum amount of minutes. Just wrap it up and get out on the floor lol. You are right about one thing though. It's that time of the year for everyone to show up.

IMO they don't need a shot clock, but if one was to be put in then it should only be whenever the game is less than 5 points and under 2 minutes in the 2nd and 4th quarter. High school basketball (especially in West TN) is just a run and gun game. The shot clock really wouldn't affect the game until the end of the 1st half or game.

I say put Charles and Tevin on your 2 best players (Simpson and Marshall) and hope that the others for UC don't get hot from 3, which is very possible. I'll take Humboldt in this game though. Humboldt 83 UC 69

Humboldt was up 47-18 at half. Last score I heard was 82-44 Humboldt. May have been after the 3rd.
