  1. Just throw away that weighted ball...use rubber bands instead!
  2. Hitting two grand slams is great against any competition.......some guys can't hit a HR in batting practice! But.......please realize the stats in the paper are mostly fictional.....kids keep the books and I've seen that there are no such things as errors when the home team keeps the books and reaches base on infield hits bobbled and booted. Case in point...the leading home run hitters in the city have done nothing against quality pitching from Baylor (Massey) and Redbank (Ward). You would think a .500+ hitter would go at least 1 for 3
  3. The players have to take some of the responsibility as well......Just Say NO!....but in a lot of cases the "cool" thing to do is to go back to back or stay in too long. Of course this is all short sightedness, but many of these players (and parents) live in the moment because high school ball means everything to them. It's your arm....take care of it.
  4. Who will win.... SD, Oakland or another team?
  5. excuse me sir......6.5 and 6.6's and (they also play football so I new their 40 times as well) but that didnt really matter since all they had to do was trott around the bases for the 3 run homer!
  6. I'm not sure if I'm your pal, but limbaugh is right.....put in the freshman's mothers if you have to but live up to your committment or please stay home and save face from there!
  7. I'm told Baylor has 4.4 and 4.5 speed.........
  8. I might be old fashioned, but I was always told by my parents that you should always finished what you started......for those that believe in life lessons and high school sports...what are DB players being taught?
  9. My guess is that Massey will be pitching..... Baylor wins in the speed department Ooltewah wins in the power department It all depends, I guess, at what store you shop at tonight!
  10. This should be a good game. Some one that knows both these teams please give us your opinion on who has the advantage in: Pitching (both are coming off tournament weekends) Speed Hitting Defense Coaching (tight situations and creativeness)
  11. Baylor 2-2 McCallie 2-2 Dalton 3-1 NW Whitfield 3-1
  12. I wonder if pool play format creates too many games for a high school team in a short period of time to play? I hate watching a game between two good teams get spoiled because they don'tr have any pitching left or they need to save their pitching for district play the next day, then the tournament becomes survival of the fittest or biggest. Congrats to the owls!
  13. I was not arguing that Stone is or is not a top player....but I did want to take exception to Double Play's comments....Double Play's comments are not true and he should be held accountable. and..... I'm not sure where Stone is ranked but if an invite to the prestigous East Coast Showcase from the NY Yankees is any indication, he must have something to offer. Thank you.
