  1. i don't believe i said it was easy to even make it to state im saying that Farragut played the games they had to because of their wins or their losses, lost in districts therefore played Oak Ridge, the Maryville game well Bearden tied them last year in a hard played game but going into overtime is just part of the game, and of course the two Bearden/Farragut games were played so i guess i was trying to say that being tired for state is almost always going to happen to every team they have played a whole season plus more games of course they are tired. As for the hardest schedule, that is the curse of our area and of course the past means nothing so who cares who the past state champions and runners up are? so even you think it has something to do with it, freshmen look up to the older guys for their intensity and desire to win and it is passed on to them, that's just what i saw when i played, maybe knoxville people are just born to strive to win, you move here and the air turns you into a goal scorer i don't know but something is making these players try harder and become better to win year after year and if someone has a reason why please tell me. i am sorry about the injuries of ruoff and helton, but Beraden had the same problems. are starting right back, James Tottten, caught Mono and was out for the whole season until substate and then got very little time in state and Rico Carter had a skateboarding accident after our firts game with Sevier County and was out for a very long time and never fully recovered therefore not getting alot of playing time so other teams had injuries throughout the seaon as well if i ever said that reputations win games i apologize but i don't think i did, i said that teams carry the intensity of the past years players and team, so if the last season's team won state the next season's team is going to go for it again hard to keep up the legacy it's school pride, just another factor that motivates people... look at CAK last year they were the underdogs at the beginning of the season, weren't supposed to win state and i don't know for sure but i bet that they played just a little bit harder knowing that had won state for the past two years and that it is now their turn because they know they can do it, CAK players did it help? or did you guys just go with the flow? ( of course a Brandon Tarr doesn't hurt)... i think i answered all your questions if not please tell me
  2. um farragut had the hardest road possible? if they would've won district they wouldn't have had to play maryville and then the overtime game was once again there own fault, and the Bearden games have to be played for us both to advance so they made the road hard by themselves by not putting away teams they should have early on. and by the end of the season their are always injuries, that is nothing new, i agree that they will have a stronger team this year but to say that the past means nothing is ridiculus, if a team has made itself a contending team in the past then the new players will keep that intensity and wanting for victory, that is how teams grow is from the past, think about it farragut has to know more now then they did last year
  3. CAK just got beat by Bearden 2-0 last night and to me did not look to be a great team, maybe that will change in the season conidering it is so early but for now i believe Catholic will win it.
  4. since we are already off subject of the mid region... i thought i would add Tom Webster who is a sophmore at Bearden he might not be known now but he is a starter this year and soon will be (in my opinion)
  5. ok i just re-read what i previously wrote and it didnt even make sense to me so i will try and make it more simple AAA has more talented individuals that carry them through games while the other classes have individual talent but rely more on the team instead of one or two people - then there are the examples from my other response hope this helps.
  6. i think that over all class AAA has the most talented players, they are on every team and there are so many that they barely stand out unless there are just amazing like that center mid from houston last year i think he was number 11 he was amazing, but i mean every team has great players take mcminn for example they didnt even make state and yet had three great players. the other divisions have great indivuals as well but are more team oriented, like CAK I was at the Beraden vs. CAK preseason game last year and they just focused on shutting brandon Tarr down and Bearden ended up scoring an own goal by a mistake pass to the keeper, i just think that individually its AAA and team wise it's the other classes another example is Christian Brothers they have great players but distribute it among all the players making the team better as a whole which i like and i was at the Bearden Christian Brothers game last year when Bearden beat them 1-0 but it was a fluke goal and Christian Bros had to hit the posts 5 times and shot after shot we got lucky. hope i didnt ramble too much.
  7. i am going to have to stick with icsoccer and say a little techno it just gets the blood flowing with the beats, some techno beats have been put into rap songs, some schools won't even allow the good fast rap (because of the foul language) to be played at games.
  8. i have heard little about Bearden this year it seems they always get overlooked on this site so i was just wondering what they look like and if they have a chance for state like last year. any posts would be helpful thanks.
