  4. The tryout will be Sat Aug 12th starting at 9am at John A. Logan College. We will begin with a registration begin workouts shortly thereafter. We will run it similar to a pro tryout camp after warmups. It will include 60 times, outfield/infield velocity, pitcher velocity, defense and then hit some. Depending on the turnout we will try to have some intersquad games on Sat also. If we have a large # then we will push them back to Sunday. If you are going to come bring all the equipment you will need.
  5. The Bullets will be having an open tryout this August with the exact date to be determined later. We are losing alot of players this year and would like to get started early on our roster for 07 and a few fall league weekends this year. The tryout will be open to all high school players who intend on continuing baseball at the colligiate level. Feel free to email me if you have any questions at "sibullets@hotmail.com". If you would like fill out the "recommend a player" form on our website that would help out. I have received a few here lately and once I we get the date set I will be sure to let you know by email and other websites. Thanks.

    Best gloves?

Rawlings Heart of the Hide without a doubt. Wilson A2000 would be my next choice. Nokonas are some of the worst made gloves I have seen. For catchers the Akadema Praying Mantis is the best.
  7. The area codes games are not a money making scheme. The charge nothing to try out. Some places do and are just out for the buck. As far as scouts go why wouldnt you want to get all of the most talented players in one spot and see how they perform against each other. It is just common sense. Scouts are spread thin as it is. To be invited is an honor and the amount of exposure you get is extraordinary.
  8. Just not enough research on a certain pitcher.
  9. With the ignorance of your comments the only thing I have had to think about is why I bothered to reply. It is almost comdedic what you are saying. Do a little research on the area code games and see how many scouts attend and I guarantee there won't be too many kids who pass up the chance to go them. I guess all of the cross checkers and scouts that attend are out to rip those kids off. Keep yapping I like to laugh.
  10. Not my son or relative. All I said was he is receiving interest. He is a super hard worker and has the type of body scouts love. I guess you don't know about projectablity. If you are calling someone a liar who is obviously more in the know than you are on the situation, then you are the one who has the problem "bro".
  11. I don't make up stuff and if anything I underestimate. This winter he was touching 87-88 and he is receiving D1 interest from SEC and some MVC schools. Don't take what see from a kid in March and make a guess on what the rest of his year will be like.
  12. You'll laugh now, He'll laugh later with his D1 scholly in hand.
  13. The kid from Ky will be a load. Most of the tournaments we play in are invites and have teams from all over the country. We have had a few guys get offers on the spot. Last year right after the CWS our SS was offered by Baylor but he was already committed to a juco that he didnt want to back out on. The Clifft kid played for the Indiana Yankees and his father saw us play and we beat them a few times and he liked what he saw. Send an email if you want or have other questions. sibullets@hotmail.com
  14. We have our schedule set for this year but maybe in the future we could hook up. We run our own tournament the second week of June and then have one of the biggest tourneys in the midwest in early July. The tougher the competition the better it can make you. You might get yours butts handed to you but at least you learn what you have to do to get to that next level. Good luck this summer.
  15. Thanks for the comments. Nice site Glee. I guess they havent got your header up yet. The kids that we have do have to be able to play at a very high level. Some kids we have to turn away because of that, not to be rude but some parents and kids arent realistic about their ability. We do try to get our players in front of the most scouts and college programs and we have had alot of kids sign from our area tn that might not have gotten the opportunity otherwise.
  16. We are an elite 18u travelling team based out of Southern Illinois in the Carbondale area. An interested player should expect a high level of competition and alot of hard work put into their summer. We have expanded our range here lately for players and have picked up Spencer Clifft from Huntingdon and a few from Kentucky. Right now we have a few openings on our roster for a few LHP's, infielder, and outfielders. We have players from class of 06-08. If there is anyone interested you can email me at sibullets@hotmail.com or check out our website at www.leaguelineup.com/sibullets/ Thanks. Also we do play two tournamnets in Tenn. at Austin Peay and at the Memphis Tigers All-American Tournament.
  17. Just a reply to some of the previous posts. Spencer Clifft has thrown a legit 88 mph this winter and I can see him very easlily throwing 90 this summer. He has a very projectable frame and the scouts love him. The control will come. He has really busted his butt this winter and will open alot of eyes this spring.
