  1. yeah i am sorry about the name calling, it wasn't very mature of me but i wasnt providing any bulletin board material as my comments were referring to the fact that USJ already beat humboldt and were in no way referring to milan, westview, or jcs. And no, im not a player. but speaking of Milan's right side, who replaced brent hanson? and for somebody questioning my maturity (which i dont blame ya for), u certainly seem to be rather immature and hypocritical yourself for bashing my prediction that we beat JCS and give a milan a good game THEN going and making the prediction that if i were a player i should "hope you're second stringer is ready to go" and insulting me. If ur gonna talk the talk, u could at least walk the walk. .... but as to the actual game itself, all i said was that it could go either way if USJ shows up and brings their defense.
  2. But why?? Why is our society so obsessed with discriminating against somebody? Why can't the privates and the publics play each other? Football is a game of advantages and privates aren't the only one with "advantages" (although what yall think they are idk), but public schools have plenty of advantages. The problem is, everytime a private school beats a public school, all the public school parents get outraged and start throwing accusations because they can't accept the fact that the private school was the better team on the field that night. If private schools like USJ and JCS got to play equally sized public schools they would never complain about losing to a public school b/c those teams have the decency and respect to admit that they got outplayed. so come on, public schools, have the decency and respect to admit the same thing!
  3. This is an interesting one - on paper it looks like Milan should win, but we all know there's a difference b/t what the stats say and what actually goes down on the field. All the USJ players know how HUGE a win against Milan would be and they'll bring their A game. It all comes down to whether Milan runs free and stops USJ's air attack or if USJ slings the ball around and manages to slow down Milan's amazing RB. I played in the past 2 USJ - Milan games and while there used to be some bad blood, the USJ team has alot more respect for Milan this year. Gilbert is an amazing talent and Milan is a good team. I hope no matter the outcome that the game is clean and fair AND that the rivalry continues ... even with USJ going to DII. Any team that plays Milan will improve after playing the consisently solid Milan teams ... having said all that, i didn't really make a prediction, cuz predictions don't matter - the actual game does. but GO BRUINS!
  4. Well said ReitzFan!! USJ and JCS never had any unfair advantages, how can u possibly justify those accusations?! If anything, they were limited by high tuition costs and thus, lower enrollments. And of course once the multiplier went into effect things got even worse! It simply isn't fair playing against school twice and 3 times larger ... now having said that, i believe the level of competition in DI is much better than being a DII small school and pushes the athletes at USJ and JCS harder but both schools are justified in wanting a fair playing field and Ronnie Carter and the TSSAA simply refuse to give private schools one ... very hypocritical for an institution who's purpose is to "ensure a level playing field"
  5. well its apparent that "thedawg44" is an IDIOT as USJ just DOMINATED Briacrest 48 to 12 AND ALREADY BEAT humboldt BADLY!! and yet u have both humbolt and jcs ahead of USJ?! dude, u living under a rock or are u just purposely stupid?! USJ will beat JCS and the westview and milan games could go either way but USJ is finishing at least 3rd in the region
  6. wow, as a frequent coachT board reader and as a USJ football player, i have to say this might be the most ignorant and least thought out thing i have ever heard on coachT. FIRST OFF, USJ HAS NEVER PAID PPL TO COME TO THERE SCHOOL - otherwise we would be DII!! at USJ we make do with what we have which is typically undersized kids, we just are good at the fundamentals of the game and we play are hearts out wk in and wk out! we are not spoiled little rich boys (well most of us arent anyways, but every school has their batch of rich kids) and we work ridiculously hard for success on and off the field - nothing is ever handed to us. in regard to the size issue, well dresden was much bigger than us. oh and we have a very talented sophomore class so we'll see how things go in a couple of yrs!!
  7. yeah usj just beat tca 30-27. proves that it dont matter what fans think but how the players do!! GOOD JOB BRUINS!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. you milan fans are hopeless! your about to forfeit five of your wins, yet you still carry on about the usj game, shut up and get over!! whats in the past is in the past! and right now yall have bigger things to worry about. i have watched the milan usj tape 3 times and their is only one cheap shot, the one that got that usj boy ejected! so please get over it. by the way i know the family of the ineligible milan kid and they still have a home in jackson and i know thats not legal! and what they did was wrong, they tried to cheat the system, if he wanted to play football so bad he could of played at northside or jcm!
  9. yea that kid is preston overbey and hes the real thing, watch out 4 him in football 2
  10. USJ, one word, Josh Liles major colleges along with PRO TEAMS are real interested in him, and on top of that they hav great pitching and a great infield.
