  1. I agree...never seen any "bad blood" between these two teams. I think someone is just trying to get a fight started. lol. "GIVE ME SOME BREAKFAST!"
  2. USJ has beaten Gibson Co. the past two years in a row. I don't know the record between the teams before that, it would be interesting to know.
  3. Yea sorry about that I thought it was 28-7
  4. How many times did he get to the QB? How many tackles did he have?
  5. First off the play I was talking about was when there was a fumble (that turned out to be an incomplete pass) and number 76 was already on the ground (with the ball)! He wasnt pushed, everyone was trying to get up. Secondly the stand off was no where near USJ's quarterback! 76 was playing defensive end and rushed outside, then tried to spin inside and the right guard hit him and cleanly knocked him down and no holding. I didn't say the entire team was unsportsmanlike. I said a few players on the team didnt show that they were. Im sure you can say that about every team, I just haven't seen it that much by anyone this year. One of the running backs that later played defensive end was very sportsmanlike, joking with USJ's players. I have no clue about USJ's recievers mouthing, ill ask around about that. And I dont think it was "humiliating." JCS lost to Westview by twenty one, USJ by twenty eight.
  6. Everyone that I have seen play this year has had good sportsmanship. Some of Westview's players changed all that! Number 76 was getting handled all night and he was upset about it. He had one unsportsmanlike conduct penalty on him when he first came up swinging at another USJ player, then was using curse words at the refs. He was talking trash all night, he should have been thrown out in the second quarter. He also had a standoff in the USJ huddle right after he got pancaked. There were numerous other reports about A FIEW of Westviews players playing very unsportsmanlike.
  7. Who has Westview played that has the similiar offense as USJ does?
  8. To tell you the truth I cant remember. It was when USJ was going towards the scoreboard, and I think it was probably second half (but I could very easily be wrong). When I see the game film, if you don't see it before then, then ill tell you exactly when it was.
  9. This Milan-USJ game will become a (IMO) huge rivalry. This game means so much to both of these teams, one thing could have set off a player and he could have made the mistake to play dirty. Yea, your supposed to not have unsportsmanlike penalties, its just doing your job, but in this case with Milan I think it had to take a little more than "doing what your supposed to do."
  10. As for officiating, I thought they did a pretty good job. I once umpired baseball and there is no way you can get every call correct, it's not possible. You can only strive for perfection. But the one call that really hasn't been talked about was one that I was upset that wasn't called on the field. It was on the interception that Hardegree threw on about the thirty or fourty yard line opposite of the scoreboard. The Milan defender who intercepted the ball was running it back towards the endzone, when (a lineman that was the last line of defense for Usj) was blatently blocked in the back, when the play was coming towards him. If the milan defender wasn't tackled right before that lineman was blocked in the back, then Milan would have had another td. Also I commend USJ on their positive attitudes and their sportsmanlike play. There were zero penalties against usj for any type of unsportsmanlike conduct, that goes back to the leadership on the team.
  11. USJ will IMO continue like they have been (getting better). They have what looks to be a pretty good quarterback coming up next year to replace Hardegree. His name is Jake Overby. He will be a sophomore next year.
  12. Ok since the topic is Milan at USJ-Thursday night football THIS YEAR...we should stay on topic....but since we have reverted back to last year I will say something. Yes there was one player who was ejected. That was last year. What about the year before that? Was there foul play? If so please inform me, i'd like to know. Secondly, after tomorrow nights game, if there is no "unsportsmanlike conduct" we can put aside all this talk. Because those people have gone on and graduated...and just because they made bad choices doesn't mean every USJ fooball player is like that. So if USJ doesn't have any more dirty play then Milan and others can stop talking about it. It happened, its over, its been talked about.
  13. Nobody has said anything about ole Bill Hardegree of USJ???? Thrown for 1,342 yards already. He also threw for 300 yards and six touchdowns in the first half of their game two weeks ago.
  14. Are you trying to be funny? Or are you really stupid?
