  1. Oakdale beat Oneida in a pretty good game till the sixth. Winning Pitcher-Clark Losin- Brad C. Sunbright defeats Wartburg 5-2 in a well played game. Winning Pitcher-Hawn Losing-Daugherty I personally enjoyed watching the Wartburg sunbright game because it was well played defensivly despite a few collisions. It was a pitchers duel and Hawn fought through. Wartburg and Oneida's seasons both end on a sour note. Best of luck both Oakdale and Sunbright.
  2. Wartburg pitched Darty and the Indians started Ellis. Wartburg made 10 errors to Oneida's 2, so that had a major effect on the game.
  3. I'm not taking anything away from Oneida, but I do believe Wartburg is the younger team.
  4. Is this the longest running post ever on Coacht?
  5. Key is a great player. I seen him play at AC last year in the Southeast Regionals. He has a heck of an arm and a heck of a bat.
  6. I didn't say they were. If I recall I said Coalfield didn't respect them. I never said CoachT didn't respect them. Until you grasp the concept of sanity why don't you keep your opinions to yourself; people will think much more highly of you.
  7. I agree, Sunbright is a good team this year. They are a force to be reckoned with and I think they will definitely hold their own. They have some good talent and Ryan Hawn is an excellent pitcher. I will look forward to seeing how they fare this season. As to what I said about them not being up on anyone's radar, they just need time. They haven't been all that great the past couple of seasons so I was just making a comment. Jordan Young is a good catcher and a good all-around baseball player. I see Sunbright doing very well this season. They will definitely surprise some people.
  8. Nobody looks at the team's best player. They look at the player's contribution to the team. He may be able to throw MPG out, but until Sunbright makes a team impression, no one will really shine. Sunbright is a tough team, don't get me wrong. I have just as much respect for them as I do any other team in this district.
  9. I think Wartburg will come out on top in this one. Coalfield doesn't seem to have any respect for them, at least not the way people are talking on here. I will difinitely be at this game. Wartburg got a win over Scott High, and even though they aren't the best team in the state, it got Wartburg over that hump. If and when Wartburg starts playing better defense and hitting a little, then they will be someone to contend with. It is early in the year so look for them to make some very positive progress.
  10. Six starting freshmen may be considered an "excuse", but you take any team in this region and get them to start their six best freshmen and I doubt that they could play you as well as Wartburg. Oliver Springs is a good team, but they are way too prideful. Every critical comment about you all is not a shot at you. Don't take things so personal, your life will be much easier.
  11. I'm not taking anything away from Charles Mitchell at all, but I would not say he was the best player of last night's game. The whole team contributed equally and they played well together. In my opinion, no one really stuck out. It was a good team effort and a good win.
  12. Charles Mitchell is a good baseball player. He is not godly nor is he Babe Ruth. I seriously doubt he doesn't try out there either. I don't know if you realize this, but you make yourself and Charles Mitchell sound extremely ignorant and self-centered. I know this is not Charles Mitchell but if you love him as much as it sounds like, you will stop embarrassing yourselves.
  13. To be honest, O.S. was swinging the bats good at the beginning. Wartburg made some good plays in the field and that stunned them a little. I think O.S. came in thinking they had it won before "Play Ball!" Either way both teams played a good game and the best team came out on top this time.
  14. Oliver Springs did look kind of scared after being shut out in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th innings. If Central would have been connecting better and had had a little bit more practice under their belts, then i think it could have been much closer. It is early in the year and by the end of the game their stamina was running low. Come tournament time they will open some people's eyes.
  15. He threw one..and should have been two people out but the ball got away. And yes I do believe that he was out by a good two maybe even three feet because the shortstop or second baseman had to go to the runner and tag him.
  16. We will see. Patience is a virtue.
  17. I never said he was amazing, I said he had some talent. I've Never Seen The Kid!! You MoCo people are way too overprotective, especially to be so weak.
  18. I think Wartburg will surprise some people this year. It's early in the year and they are rather inexperienced.
  19. I have never even heard of charles mitchell??
  20. Beating Wartburg is a Major accomplishment seeing how they start six freshmen, one sophomore, and one junior, and one senior. They have 3 pitchers, all of which are freshmen. In the game against Harriman, the entire infield and 2 outfielders consisted of freshmen; the other player, a sophomore. So yeah, beating Wartburg is up on the list of the Yankees this season. Good Luck.
  21. I never said he was a bad catcher, but I read someone wrote that he might even make the MLB. That is a stretch. Wow! A sophomore throws it in two seconds. Wartburg has a freshman, Tyler Trout, who can do that. I also never said we were talking about pitchers but most catchers make amazing pitchers, take one of the better ones...JOHNNY BENCH! I'm not dissin' your cousin but you should let his game speak for himself. About being the best sophomore catcher you've ever seen..I played against an 8th grader last year that was about 6'4 and could throw 91 mph. He was a catcher, not a pitcher.
  22. Logan Alley is not the "Boom"..nor is he the anything. If I were to guess I would say YOU were Logan Alley; that or you need some special help.
  23. What is this? You're married and posting all this crap. This is so stupid. This is a baseball forum, not a mexican food forum or hot wife forum. Brandon Davis is one fast kid; that is a fact. About the Alley guy, I have seen catchers who throw 90 mph. Logan Alley does not throw 90 mph because if he did he would be on the mound. Mike Piazza-Logan Alley No Way! I've played against cathers who could throw it on their knees on a line to the centerfielder. I've watched a game or two and Alley can barely stand up and line it to the bag.
