Beech played Oakland today at Oakland and won 13-2.

Beech played in the Rutherford County preseason tournament this weekend and went 2-1. Beech lost to Columbia 5-1 beat Dickson Co. 1-0 and beat Blackman 7-3.

Beech lost to Columbia 5-1 Friday evening. Beech beat Dickson Co. in the first game Sat. 1-0 and beat Blackman 7-3 in their second game.

Beech has their first scrimmage game tomorrow against a very good Oakland team. Anybody have any thoughts on how this will shake out?

This post is pretty ridiculous.....Frey could have been clocked at 89 but not 98. Beech does have alot of guys coming back but they still will need to work hard to get into the state tournament with all the other good teams around. Beech scrimmages Oakland at Oakland tomorrow.

Frey is going to Western and Frensley is going to Belmont. Beech also has a couple other guys who have signed with Vol State. Beech is returning 13 seniors and 8 position starters from last year. Smryna has Gray and Rhodes (sp) who was the left handed pitcher of the year in 9AAA last year, they also have a very good shortstop in Timothy Egerton. Mt. Juliet is always tough especially with Hill on the mound.

Beech plays Brentwood @ Beech, does anyone know anything about Brentwood or how they think this one might turn out?

Sounds like 9-AAA is going to be another toss up. Seems like with every year that passes this district becomes more crowded.

I believe Beech lost tonight to Siegel 77-76 in a double overtime game.

What about Beech or Hendersonville? Both of these teams were in the thick of it last year... I believe Hendersonville won the regular season district championship and I'm not sure who won the tournament.... Will either of these teams contend for the district this year?

Just was wondering when the All State Players will be announced, I wasn't sure when that was typically done.

Beech lost in the substate game to Franklin who came in 4th in the state tourny and Beech started 7 juniors game in and game out and sometimes 8. They will lose Seth McAdams who is a great pitcher, but will be returning alot of experienced players who started every game this past season.

I've played against both and it's no lie that Franklin can crush the baseball, they will score some runs no doubt. Franklin's pitching is not great but don't count on seeing great pitches to hit in hitting situations, they want to make you get yourself out. Riverdale also has some guys that can hit and have some guys that throw it pretty well. Franklin will try and outscore you, so if Riverdale can get on Franklin's pitching and hold Franklin down then Riverdale could take this one. Good luck to both.

Outside of those 3 there is Seth McAdams who by the way was the right hander of the year in 9AAA, along with Caleb Cotham(signed with Vandy and was district MVP last year) and Sonny Gray. There are alot of good pitchers in the Mid-State.

Beech played Mt. Juliet last night 5/17 @ Mt. Juliet for the Region final. Beech won 2-1 with Brady Frey going the distance on the mound pitching a great game. Caleb Cotham pitched for Mt. Juliet and pitched very good as well. This was a great game to be at if you weren't there you missed a good one. Beech plays Franklin @ Beech on Friday 5/19 @ 7 p.m. for the substate game. Mt. Juliet plays Ravenwood @ Ravenwood for their substate game. Both winners advance to the state tournament. Good luck to both teams hope to see both 9AAA teams represented well in murfreesboro.
