  1. Have fun playing the game...if you're a loud guy, be loud. If you don't like the other team cheering, beat them in five and send them home crying, very loudly.
  2. "Not So Fast My Friend!" I thinks it's obvious he's the best pitcher in the district, and region, and may be section. But dominate? The closest I've ever to seen to anything being dominated in baseball (at any level) was Gange a few years ago with like what...85 saves in a row. Lintz is good, but he is still a high school player, signed or not. See? MC won, not taking that away from him. He pitched well enough to win the game. But by no means dominated it.
  3. Really? /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="
  4. SH beat Lintz last year, am I correct? Should be interesting to see if they can recreate some magic.
  5. I completely agree, 100%. Prove me wrong, and I'll be just as happy to say HC & EH can compete this year.
  6. Where's Dale? I thought he was the bomber on that team...
  7. I'm not sure what game I like on opening day, probably GC v Page just bc GC is my alma mater. I don't think MC v SH will be a great game bc I'm sure Lintz is pitching. Although SH did beat them last year. Everyone go out and support your teams all year long. Baseball programs are so disrespected(except for MC) as far as the money issues go. Pay the gate and help support your team! You serious? I guess if those are your home teams...
  8. They lost their ace from last year. That's about all I know for a fact.
  9. I'd say Lexington is that good. Liberty is obviously not a state contender, but it just shows how good Lexington is offensively. I look for them to put up double-digits in over 3/4 of their games this year.
  10. I don't look for Marshall Co. to be in the Spring Fling this year. Yes, Lintz is one of the best in the state, but they lost everyone else last year. They didn't have a lot of O last year, so I don't expect any different this year. They should win when Lintz pitches, but his dad isn't going to let him throw too much, especially not every game... I'm anxious to see about y'all... There's been a lot of trash talk in between EH & HC guys. If HC was a state comntender the last couple of years I could see it. But talent was way over matched then, and now the school is split. I do realize it's a step down in classes but...I guess we'll see.
  11. This is my 2 cents on the matter... When I got thrown out of a baseball game for asking an umpire where the guy tagged me, ( I was stealing 2nd) I got my butt chewed up, spit out, and thrown away when I got home. You want an example of how sports give adolescents training for the real world? 1012biggestfan, I don't think your son deserved either one of those t-ups. But, Refs. are PEOPLE, and guess who your son, when he gets done with school, will work with and deal with...PEOPLE. They're all different and all have different opinions and views. Just as shown on this website every minute. The refs. that night were short-tempered, so adjust to their style, just like we all do everyday. That ref. probably has no clue who your son is, and if he does, he couldn't care less. Think about it, you're a dad, are you gonna pick on some little high school boy at a basketball game? I don't agree with a parent getting on here and trying to protect their children after a basketball game. You wanted them to learn about life through sports, and they're learning, and sometimes it's not easy. May be that's just the way I was brought up, and I understand it's not my son, so if you're going to protect him, that's your choice.
  12. I think Lexington(Rg. 6) may have their year this year. We played them last year(I played for Giles Co.), and they were young then and good. I thought we could put runs up with anyone, but they had better bats. I thought their weakness was pitching, although some would argue that, I'm just callin it as I saw. With all their talent back this year I will be following them. As for the rest of the state, I really don't know much about any other state contenders.
  13. I don't agree that Giles loses to Sycamore, or that Bolivar loses to CPA. I'm biased on the first half, so I may be wrong, but there's no bias on the 2nd, and I belive that to be right.
  14. I know this cart is before the horse, but I gotta argue... Sycamore over Giles? And CPA over Bolivar? Is that going by just records?
  15. I still can't beleive nobody from MC is talking. Guess we'll have to wait til they have some excuses...
  16. How long was the game? Some scrimmage games last forvever. Was that in one inning? Yeah, that would be impressive. And was Central playing their starters when this happened? Bc I'd say that would probably be embarrassing to them.
  17. Really? They finally knock off a GC team who has been atop this district forever, and there's a complaint? Well, I guess someone's settin the bar a little high. He probably got coach of the year by...you said it, "Winning District". Talent will be scouted, and found. I don't care if that coach makes a million phone-calls or emails, if a kid can play, a kid can play. And by the way, welcome to the boards.
  18. District 10AA, Marshall County upset by Spring Hill.
  19. Ok, 6.16, Don't think so, those legs would be running track, not kneeling behind a plate or wherever else on a diamond. Look, if you want to get on here a call out numbers, try and make them legit. 4.7 does not equal 6.16, more like 4.7=6.9, or 7.0. And may be you did see it, but somebodys stop-watching privelages need to be suspended. Hey, how bout we just stop this thread before we all start running 4 flats and throwing triple digits.
  20. Well, I'm not so sure that Jay can be replaced, especially with no drop off. I do think SHHS will be good this year, but I'm not so sure they'll be THAT good. You know...I'm seriously startin to wonder if MC is ok. They're always all over the boards. Did the computer gods take away their internet or something? Come on MC, TALK SOME TRASH!
  21. Good luck getting some posts for this one. Something's fishy about MC on the boards this year...THEY'RE NOT SYAING ANYTHING AT ALL. I've tried to get them to talk and they won't...
  22. Yes, Jay Brown, wasn't it? If not, I don't know where I got Jay from... Anybody from MC wanna give us some insights into who they've got filling some rolls this year? Such as middle infield?
  23. Wow, nice post. The only thing I see that I would disagree with is the fact that Loretto lost more than it seems. I'm not sure who they return, but none of them are stand-outs like Gobble, Glass, or Buttrum. These three not only had talent, but active leadership of the mustangs. Also, nothing is mentioned about the other senior that grad.(or played last year but isn't on that roster). He was the big tall guy with a cannon, his name is on the tip of my tongue, but I can't remember. Dunn is a big loss, but losing this kid may be bigger. And last, WHERE'S MC? What are Georgie and Ol' Monk flying under the radar this year or what? Gonna be hard to do!!! /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  24. I think this one is just gonna have to be played out before anybody really knows anything. From what I can tell, the original teams of this district arent really sure about the new ones, and vice-versa.
