I am just gald to see that I wasn't the only one surprised that Oliver wasn't on first team. Don't get me wrong, Tinsman is a good ball player but there's no way I would pick her before Mikki. But overall the STAR did a good job of pickng the top players in the county.

I agree. Unaka will have a good team next year as will Cloudland. Hampton will defintely be improving. They lost the two seniors. However, the younger girls are going to have to step up and handle the pressure. I saw too much crying and frustration on the sidelines this year out of a few sophmores that should be able to handle it. Elizabethton will still be strong. The Petroski girl will still be strong for Elizabethton too. And I defintely agree about North Greene. They may surprise some people next season. The McKinsey girl is tough. I can't wait to see what happens in this district next year.

I thought the Lady Bulldogs looked ok Friday night considering no one gave them a shot coming into the game. If a couple more of their players would have been on, Cloudland Lady Landers may have had an upset! However, Hampton has gotta step it up and play good team ball during the tournaments...who knows maybe they will surprise us again like they did last year? I myself wouldn't mind an upset like last years!

I know this post is kind of old but check out the numbers that Mikki Oliver has been posting....not too bad for a true point that is playing underneath! She's been the lead scorer for most of their games....Just a coouple weeks ago in the Avery tournament she had 28 points. She only played in two gmes b/c she was sick...not too shabby!

Hampton will be strong. They will still have Townsend and Lunceford. Last year gave them the urge to do more. Of Course, Cloudland has something to prove after Hampton winning last year, but I still say Hampton will be #1
