It was only one starter who got suspended for questionable activities. The other three were as follows. Two games from last years red card offenses in the semi-finals and the other one was in Dallas Texas participating in the United States Youth Soccer ODP National Championship. The preseason ranking, I believe had Blackman at #3, so we did get some recognition, but right now, you're right, we don't deserve the top 5 ranking, no matter how you loose, with or without starters. Besides, none of this ranking crap really matters, what matters is how you do in districts, regionals and sections and then finally state. You could win every game and just happen to lose a little ol' district tournament game, and the whole season is lost. And with the way soccer is throughout the state, that can happen to the best of us.

You are off your rocker? Blackman will not get drilled. You obviously don't know much about middle tn soccer and where Blackman has been the past three years. It will be a close game I think, I know the players on both teams and they are pretty even. I think Blackman whens if they can get a score early. No way Blackman gets drilled unless they have a bad, a really bad game

Thanks for the compliment. The Smryna game wasn't even close as the score indicated. They had one shot on goal in the first half from 35 yards out and was just miss timed by the goal keeper, but it was a rocket of a shot. In the second half the goal that was scored wasn't even a shot, defender cleared it, it ricochet off a defender and looped over the goal keeper. I think they may have had two additional shots on goal, but not really any challenging shots. Domination was very evident. Coach sub a lot and took out key players in the second half, then re-entered them when they got the second goal.

I can't believe I forgot Tuggle, he's a solid senior in the back, and a big part of Blackman's run to the semis last year.

We played the same amount of games Riverdale did, so get your facts straight. Blackman didn't make it to the semi-finals for nothing last year. Riverdale only had one shot on goal in the first half, that was a PK, and only three other shots in the second half. Wheather you think 4 starters coming back makes a difference or not is your opinion. Blackman may not be the best in the state, but they are prettty good, and at least deserve a mention in the top 5 for AAA, which is what I said before. I don't know the other teams in AA or A, and I am quite sure that are teams there that could beat Blackman, but anyone could beat anyone on any given day.

THere are several players not mentioned here. Even though Shane Rollins doesn't play for a select team, he used to and is a very good soccer player. HE plays for Riverdale, fwd. Alexander Darsinos, Sophmore, MBA, awesome forward. Stephen Morrissey, Sophmore, BGA, midfielder Austin Hayes, Sophmore, LaVergne, Defender Charles Rodgiquez, Sophmore, Father Ryan, Midfielder Matt Reed, Sophmore, Blackman, midfielder, fwd No doubt Bryan Lowder is very good, I haven't really seen anyone else play, so I can't comment on the other players mentioned. District, Regionals, Sectionals and finally the semi-finals last year, in which they finally lost to a very good and evental state champs Brentwood. Blackman only lost three starters. Hendersonville will always be a threat, but they won't have Daniel Kelly this year, big lost, but they have much talent that they will loose very little. Riverdale is really good also. So there's a few for starters.

I really just chose Div AAA, even though the question posed no matter what div, etc.... I only know of AAA, however, BGA did beat Blackman, but Blackman was missing 4 key starters, two seniors, a very good sophmore and a freshman.

Hopefully Blackman will move back upin the rankings. After starting 0-2 without 4 of thier starters being there for the first two games, they have won four straight.
