Gordonsville travels to South Carthage High School.....lol to take on the Lady Owls, or is it Owlettes? Both team seem to playing pretty good right now, how will this go?

We had some pretty decent ones the other night for the Smith County vs. Gordonsville games. They did make a few touchy calls in both games, but 3 seconds was called often and the carry was called a few times. They were consistent and confident in what they called and you cant ask for anything better really. You have to remember, not to many people want to get paid 60 dollars a night I believe to drive usually a good ways from home, and get yelled at by tons of people. Some I agree don't do as well as others, and can be blank-holes. There are certain ones when you see walk into a gym you think oh crap, but for the most part they do the best they can.

The Tigers picked a great night to break out. Like you said SC shot lights out from 3 land, and we shot pretty well to. Starnes coming out definitly hurt SC, really the difference in the game. May not have made the outcome any different but the Owls really struggled after that. The dribble drive offense worked really well all night. As for Starnes, I beleive he had some brusing on his knee but don't know if it was his decision or trainers decision to pull him out. Hope he is ok, he is a great athlete and SC will miss him very much if he is out any. SC has a good team, they play hard and will do fine throughout the year. Good luck to Coach Apple and Whitaker the rest of the way until Jan. 10th. I believe they suprise some people in the district.

This might constitute an excuse? What do you think? This from Marion/SC board: The holding call...was evidently...bogus too. I also didn't know a head coach could come out on the field...nearly to midfield during the discussion. That easily could have been a 15 yard penalty too. I guess it wouldn't have mattered anyway. After they blew the interception call...there's no way they were going to let SC win. Is that justice? Probably...the end result was the same. I also remebering reading some stuff about how you thought TC cheated to win or something against you all? I wasn't keeping up to date with the football boards very much this year, but remember there was accusations of stealing signals or something? Like I said I didn't keep up with football that much this year, and I really didn't care to but just remember reading some of that stuff. People make predictions all the time, just because you don't like it doesn't mean it's unflattering. And no, I would say a win versus our team would not be viabe for your team, the boys to. Even though we (GHS) both have pretty good teams, and contend every year for the district crown. It's expected that ya'll will win, if we win, it's considered respectable because we beat a team above our classification. Is that right, maybe not, because the teams usually seem to be about equal year in year out, not always though. But with all but one win coming against teams a class below your classification, I would see reason to brag to. Soon district play will pick up even more and then you will have to play teams in your class...... Sorry in advance if this is unflattering for you. So you know, I'm not going to waist anymore time replying to your posts as I have wasted enough already. You would probably agree.

I'm not going to take the time to look up posts on other people just to prove a point like you would. I don't care that much, because in the end is the satisfaction really that importantto you? Because it isn't to me. All this started because you were defending the coaching by stating their record was 5-2. I simply was stating I would not be using that as a point, considering..... they didn't have a viable win at that point IMO. Just throwing this out there, me saying "It wont even be close....Upperman by 25, maybe more!" is not really considered bashing IMO. You just consider it bashing because I went to school there. It's a prediction and an opinion, if I got on here and said SC girls are terrible, and on and on, I would consider that bashing as well as opinion. But like you said we have different views on bashing.

CC doesn't really match-up well with C'range, but I don't believe many teams do. C'range by 20-25

I could have done that this whole football season. I chose...and choose not to do that. What is the point in you doing it? Go ahead and say it, it's not like you are hurting my feelings if you do, am I hurting yours? If so I'm sorry. I was going by what Upperman did to them last year, past years, and based on what Upperman had coming back, I think that was a sound prediction and I was wrong, but I also believe I'm not the only one who thought it would be like that. I will state my opinion about how I think a game will go, it be wrong, it may be right, you may like it, you may not, I could careless. You and everyone else are free to do the same and I respect that.

I don't bash on sc everytime I get the chance just u. If u look I still always wish the guys the best of luck. I always will pull for SC as long as they don't play GHS. SC has a tough district schedule everyone knows that. U know u are the master of excuses that's all u ever do after a football game even other posters on here agree. But that's neither here or there. I think SC might suprise the Bees a little bit. Not saying they will beat them, but they will be no sloutch, SC plays pretty hard. Bees by about 10-15 though. Good luck to Apple and the boys /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

. Maybe if u look closer at their schedule u will find the games they have won have been against all single a schools I believe. That's one reason for the no losing record. They play about 9 or 10 games against single a competition this season and it's not top single a teams caliber either like a jc or clarkrange, or even teams that are tops in their own district for that matter. But maybe winning more games is more important than preparing yourself for a tough district/postseason run.

From what I've seen and knowing Coach Apple, they will play hard, and play man to man.

They split last year, with a new face added to the Lady Owls, how will this one go? Should be a good, tough game.

Dekalb travels down to Gordonsville this friday, how will this one turnout?

Annual county rivalry game, with the Owls taking both last year, how does this one shape up? SC has been playing not to bad as of late, they play hard and have some good shooters, will the Tigers be any match for the Owls?

They are alot better than I gave them credit for and after I saw them play SC, I really didn't believe all the hype. But they played alot better last night and we are way behind were we need to be, to be able to compete with them or FCS, or anyone else in our district/region. Buts its a long season, we'll see how the kids rebound from this.

Both of these teams match-up well against each other. I think if the Tigerettes keep playing the way they have been, then it will be a good night. Clay has a tough solid team though. I think if the G-ville girls can handle the pressure, they will do just fine. Should be a great game! Go Tigerettes!

I think his name is actually spelled knight. titan fan doesn't seem to be such a great speller lol. But They are a well balanced team, they got about 4 players that all seem pretty close to the same level. Dale, Garret, Knight, and Edwards are all pretty solid. I think the other starter is also Brown maybe, he played pretty well against SC the other night. It will be a tough task for G-ville but Tuesday is getting closer, I cant wait for some Gordonsville Tiger Basketball!
