Ummm... You say your "pretty sure" about what you say. So you can't back up what you say with the TSSAA rules? If the team consisted of players all over West Tenn. did the training these players received not benefit their individual school teams that they went back to for HS?

I say bad host on Martin side but not because of the Westview Players. Both teams deserved to be recognized for their outstanding play. Apparently Westview administration doesn't recognize soccer as a "sport". If it had been football, it would have been a celebration. Dyersburg outplayed Westview and deserved the win. It was a clean, well played game. Don't blame the players for an adminstrative decision, but Dyersburg deserved to be recognized and I thought all-district was always announced at the championship game. Good luck to both teams. Dyersburg should win easily in their next game. Westview better be on their game. Anyone got any predictions on the score of the WV-USJ game?

Christopher Pifer Played with the TNFC 91's when they won state a couple of years ago, he has played for some West Tennessee teams the past couple of years. He will be heading for CAK next year from what we have heard , so be on the look out for him.

Westview will have to play their best game every game to win district and region and that will be very tough for a young team.

Yes, you are correct, but in this particular incident, the ball hit the players hand, hit the ground. The opposing team stopped playing because the linesman called a handball, and the other team kept playing. The center ref never blew his whistle and we all know you don't stop playing until the whistle is blown. When the team objected, the ref said "I never called a handball, play on! and they did.

First of all, that is exactly what the ref "assumed". He assumed it was incidental ball to hand. And S. Coleman has never fouled anyone "blatantly" especially Z. Fortner the first time WV played D'burg. But besides that....It was a good game and I agree D'burg did not play their best. D'burg has a great team with VERY talented players. I for one enjoy great soccer and that is what all four semifinalists played throughout the tournament. Those 4 teams deserved to be there and 2-1 final scores proove it. One final word, if you knew anything about Billingsby, you would know that even if he did foul in the box, it may have been a hard tackle and a foul but "blatant" implies he was out to hurt someone. This was not the case. g/l to d'burg the rest of the season. You are solid and should make it to state if you play your game!

Just a question... Was the final score of the Westview-D'burg game 2-1 and if so why would Berry scoring 2 PK's make it a 2-0 win for D'burg? Also, I agree... the center ref did make some tough calls. in fact the first PK for Dyersburg was for a trip in the box. J. Billingsby said he never touched the Dyersburg player who went down. Westview got a tough call and they played through. Also, if you know your soccer, an incidental hand ball in the box is not a PK. Just because a ball hits and out stretched hand (the player did not reach out to hit the ball) does not make it a hand ball. Don't blame a loss on the ref. Everyone knows the refs are not the greatest in this area. Play your best and it won't matter what the ref calls, win or lose.

Westview #18 is a threat but if you mark only him, watch out for #16 and #3. Both can be a threat. Westview has had several people putting in goals. Madison is a threat with Kenny W. up front and their set plays can win a game alone! Westview better be ready to play their best defense. Should be a great game. Let all of us know the final ASAP!!

We heard a senior player transfer from JCM to Madison is not elligible to play because he switched schools after JCM dropped their Boys soccer program. Is this true and if it is, there needs to be a rule change. Who agrees!
