Didn't Northside advance by a forfeit. I had never heard of a team forfeiting at this stage of the game because they did not have enough players to field a team. That is what I read anyway. northside did advance by a forfeit but they would have easily beat haywood by a very wide margin. haywood really only had one or two skilled players and their defense was weak. northside's forwards and midfielders would have pounded them in the goal. does anyone know if haywood will be fined by the TSSAA for forfeiting the game? I'm saying northside will play to win and it will be a close game. northside is the underdog because they are from the west. they have nothing to lose. i say they win 2-1 probably in overtime. good luck indians

Ok, apparently madisonlb couldn't see the entire field from where he was playing. madison did not dominate the game. westview played soccer. what they didn't show in the northside game they brought to madison. they passed, they shot and they won. and only 3-4 shots on goal is a joke. most of the chances madison got were from throw-ins they had because of wv defender mistakes. westview didn't rely on booting the ball down the field so their forwards could run onto it and try to score. also, madisonlb forgot to mention their first goal was a pk for a foul in the box that was questionable at best. and what's up with Doug Senna (?) the center ref that madisonlb has always said lost the game for them. he over-ruled his linesman and most of the time it was in madison's favor. and towards the end of the game when madison was getting frustrated there was a nasty tackle from behind by one of the madison midfielders and senna didn't even call a foul. looks to me that senna was the 12th man on the field for madison. what madisonlb should be talking about is how well madison played this year after losing all but a few of their starters. they were aggressive and continued to improve all season. It doesn't matter anyway because northside is still the best team in the west no doubt!!

having been at the game and watched it, the score was close the game was not. northside came to win and they did it leaving no doubt who the best team in the region is. they outplayed westview until the last 5 minutes of the game after westview scored. if westview had played the entire game like they did the last 5 minutes they might have pulled out a win. westview had a terrible game. they didn't pass, they didn't move, they didn't play to win. having said that, when you acuse a team of poor sportsmanship, it usually isn't the team but a few individuals. from the stands we could see a few cheap shots from BOTH sides. Northside played to win, they won and they deserved to win BUT westview has always been a class act and probably lost a few games because they were not aggressive enough. Good luck to both teams. NORTHSIDE, if you play like you did against usj and westview you have a great chance at the prize! haywood won't stand a chance. Keep up the good work! we would love to see the west bring it home. the east is all about "trash talking" the teams from the west. make them eat what they say!!!

I think it will be a good game but beating dyersburg "easily" is different than northside beating USJ. Dyersburg lost almost their entire starting lineup from their state bound team last year and did not have the bench yet to fill those shoes this year. USJ has what it takes to be at state this year and will be motivated to have another shot at northside. Northside played an unbelievable game against USJ and USJ didn't show up. They won't do that again. I think westview can win but they will have to play the best game they have played all year and USJ will have to make some mistakes. IF USJ plays like they have been coached to play they take the game 4-2.

Agree with usj, northside, westview and d'burg in the final 4. which district is madison in and who else is in their district?

I know how we all say the rankings don't mean anything but it seems to me that northside should be ranked over usj and westview. usj has allowed more goals then I thought they would with their defense and westview can't finish when its a win/lose situation. anyone know who made the all-tournament team and who was mvp?

Catholic and CAK may be the ones who are tested. USJ is solid at every position and their coach is one of the best. this is one team from the west who may upset some of the giants from the east. congrats USJ. you deserve it!

If westview wants to beat usj and northside, they have to score goals. Madison wasn't "lucky"they only lost 1-0. Westview is lucky nick and mason didn't get a couple of break aways or good balls through and tie the game or win.

just because most of the teams from northwest tn are A/AA doesn't mean they don't have talent. i agree with madisonlb, if you don't know what you are talking about, don't.....

cory nethery center mid scored for Westview on a lucky tap in. brandon middleton and josh baltz both had great shots that hit the cross bar. it was anybodys game to the end. westview is holding their own since losing the pifer boys but will have to play their best game and have all their players healthy to beat usj or northside. brandon is playing but not 100%

i agree...usj whipped westview at the jamboree even playing their 2nd team the entire 2nd half of the game. usj IS going back to state!!!

no panties in a wad buddy, i prefer boxers. anyhow just stating the facts. humboldt beat westview regardless of a bad call just like westview beat carver regardless of a bad call. we all know that the refs aren't perfect. you play your game to win. best of luck to both teams and praying for no injuries. looks like the weather might be a factor. which team does it hurt/which team does it help or does it even matter?

last i checked the scoreboard westview won 21-6 over carver. give back the touchdown you say was lost on a bogus call and westview still wins "legit" 21-14 that is if carver can convert for 2 which they couldn't do from what i read in the jackson sun

shocked to see that westview contained the speed trenton peabody has, but tp's coach didn't make any excuses the jackson sun quoted coach scott as saying it was an old-fashioned butt whooping westview made the plays we didn't congrats to westview for diggin in and gettin it done

Speaking from West TN, Camdens kicker is good, Union Citys has distance (only a freshman) Westviews has accuracy.

They are that good. Wing midfielders are their weakest point, not meaning they are weak but don't control the ball as well as defense and those up front. Sweeper is strong and fast!! They have speed, size and strength. Good luck to both teams but a little partial to the west!! D'burg take it to the semi's for the west. We are all behind you!
