    District 1 AA

Pigeon Forge Tigers will be the team to beat.
  2. Okay, well we will see soon enough.
  3. I don't know if you would say that it is bad blood between the schools in this county. I just think that the competitiveness comes out in everybody, and everybody wants to win. The great thing with having this forum and having this conversation is, is that we all can give our own opinions and talk smack and that is fun. You have to admit that you have enjoyed this conversation, or you wouldn't have wasted your time with your replies. I hope that at least one of our teams in this county will be going to the State Playoffs. It is going to be a fun year, and I can't wait to see what happens.
  4. There is no doubt that Seymour has a tough schedule. It's really too bad that there has to be 4 schools in this county. Can you imagine what a team you could build with a few players from each school? That would be amazing to see. I hope that everyone in our county does great this year. I will honestly be pulling for all of these teams except when they play Pigeon Forge obviously. Good luck to you and your team.
  5. If you look at our schedule this year, we have one of the toughest schedules out there. See for yourself. www.pigeonforgebaseball.com I know Seymour is great. They always have great teams. I am not saying that they aren't. By the way, what team are you for? Seymour? Good luck to you and whatever team you follow
  6. You laugh at my predictions, but if you look at each teams schedule from last year and the teams that each team played against you will know why I picked the teams in that order. Gatlinburg-Pittman 14-10 overall 6-6 District 6-6 Region * They didn't lose anyone this year and they have one of the best coaches in East Tennessee with coach Henry Lafollette. This is my sleeper team to beat Seymour and take the second spot. Sevier County 10-12 overall 1-10 District 1-10 Region * Coach Lance Traywick is another one of those great coaches that will have his team ready. However he has lost 2 up and coming players (Charlie & Dakota) that would have helped the team out alot, as well as some other players. You also have to look at their schedule. It's a brutal division that they play in. Thats the only reason why I have picked them last. They will be very tough though. Seymour 18-15-1 8-2 District 8-4 Region * Seymour is always tough and they too have one of the best coaches in the State, but I just have a gut feeling that Gatlinburg will catch Seymour off guard and win by 1 run late in the game. An upset. Pigeon Forge 26-8 10-1 District 12-1 Region * I know that Tyler Cannon is gone, he was a great player. It is hard to replace a player like him, but he is only one player. Tyler didn't win all of those games by himself. There were 15 other players on the team that contributed to all of those wins. Do you know how many Seniors graduated last year? 7 total. Only 1 of those seven kids are playing college baseball (Tyler). There were no superstars on that team outside of Tyler. The players that we lost due to graduation last year have been replaced by as good as or even better talent than we had. Bradley Harveston will replace Tyler. These are only a few reasons why I have put Pigeon Forge to finish 1st in Sevier County again this year. Based on the facts and figures and with all 4 teams having a few players leave here and there, this is why I have put them in that order. It is only a prediction and my opinion. Thats all. If it makes you mad, then I'm sorry. Pigeon Forge doesn't need to prove anything to anybody. They have already proved that they are the team to beat in 2007. And until it is proven that Pigeon Forge isn't the #1 team, then you can say all you want, but it doesn't matter. www.pigeonforgebaseball.com
  7. I can't wait to see the look on your face #19, when Bradley Harveston strikes you out. Ha Ha Ha. Oh yeah... I guess he stinks huh??? Oh... by the way... when was the last time you were in the State Playoffs? He stinks though. Wow!
  8. You know, I don't know who you are... and I don't care, but if your screen name on here means that you are a Pigeon Forge Baseball Fan, then you should be ashamed of yourself the way that you bash the coaches and the Pigeon Forge Baseball Team. You are not a fan of the Pigeon Forge Tigers, and if you are a student or are involved with the team itself in any way, then leave and go somewhere else. We don't want you here. Mike Bramblett is not only a great Baseball Coach, but he brought in an assistant coach named Doug Gipson who is a First Class Division I College player that started all 4 years of his College Career. He alone has enough experience and knows what needs to be accomplished to be successful. You obviously don't have a clue about coaching baseball and what hard work and dedication that is required by the coaches and players. Besides, how can you judge a coach and say that he is not going to be very competitive when you haven't even seen this team play a game yet? Thats right... you can't. You agree with other people on here that I am bragging about how good the Tigers are going to be this year, thats right... I do. I am a real PF Tiger Fan. Thats what real Fans do... they follow and defend their team to the end! And if you are reffering to Coach Bramblett's Football Team, well the team wasn't any good when he inherited them, and the players need to be held accountable for their effort and game play. It wasn't just the coaches fault. Players have to execute the plays that are being sent in to be successful. Players didn't make plays when they needed to period! Baseball on the other hand, coach Cannon hired coach Bramblett to continue the Winning Baseball Tradition at Pigeon Forge High School, and you will see soon enough what I have been saying all along. This team is going to be very exciting to watch this year.
  9. Just for the record, I am not bragging or talking my son up. He's a Freshman! I just know what the Pigeon Forge Tigers have. Besides, this is a message board, don't get too excited people! The 2007 season is going to be very exciting for all of us, and when the dust and smoke clears, we will then know who is going on and who is going home.
  10. Right now you have to say PIGEON FORGE is the best team in the county. The other three teams haven't proven that they can beat PIGEON FORGE. The Tigers lost alot, but they gained back almost everything that they lost with new and experienced players that moved to the area in the off season. You can say what you want, but the Tigers are the best team at this point. This is how they stack up. 1. PIGEON FORGE 2. GATLINBURG 3. SEYMOUR 4. SEVIER COUNTY As for Sevier County... The game that has been avoided by Coach Traywick and Larry Cannon is finally going to be played at Smokies Park on March 31st at 1:00pm (PIGEON FORGE vs. SEVIER COUNTY) This game will decide who the best team in Sevier County really is. Coach Cannon is gone and the new Head Coach Mike Bramblett will have his Tigers ready. Gatlinburg-Pittman also plays Seymour at Smokies Park the same day, but they have the early game. And finally... Pigeon Forge did lose to Seymour in a scrimmage. Seymour played like 40-50 games in the Fall, and Pigeon Forge played 1 (the Seymour game). I guess if you want to be proud of that win, then go celebrate. I see that the Tigers have a new baseball website at: www.pigeonforgebaseball.com
  11. BRANDON WILSON - CATCHER (PIGEON FORGE TIGERS) 1.9 POP Brandon Wilson is already one of the best catchers in the state, and he is only a Sophomore at Pigeon Forge High School. Keep an eye on this kid.
  12. Pigeon Forge will be tough again this year. They lost alot, but they also replaced the kids they lost with kids that are as good if not better than the ones they lost. Sure, Tyler Cannon was great, but he didn't hit any home runs last year. He didn't put up the numbers that he did his Junior year. The Tigers have added more pitching and more fire power at the plate than they had last year. Keep your eyes on this team.
  13. Pigeon Forge will be tough. They lost alot, but they loaded up again with very good quality players.
  14. Pigeon Forge is going to be a force to be reconned with in AA this season. They lost alot of Seniors last year, but they have added some excellent Seniors that have moved to the area. Plus they have a very tough Sophomore group of kids like Brandon Wilson, Mark Isaacs, ans Dale ferrell that started almost every game last year with State Playoff experience. Pigeon Forge has a Freshman pitcher that throws very hard named Bret Gallihugh, and he will provide some Fire Power that the Tigers lost when Tyler Cannon Graduated. Offensively the Tigers should be even better this year than last year with more power hitters in the lineup. Keep an eye on the Pigeon Forge Tigers.
