bga came out very fast. just overwhelmed gallatin by pressuring every ball very hard and didnt give them any space to work with. as a result, bga got 2 goals in the first 5 mins or so. being up 2-0 in the first 5 mins, bga didnt look back.

Top D2 teams: MBA-had a great year last year with a young team that took CBHS to pk's. alexander darsinos is back along with most of their starters from last year. with the advantage of a more experienced team, expect them to have another great year. BGA- lost some key players from last years state championship season(Dawes,Bristol,Wonderlin) but still return a good amout of talent. it'll be tougher on them this season but this team still has enough experience and talent to compete for a championship. CBHS-has had some bad luck the past 2 years, but if you look at it, 2 consecutive state championship appearances isnt all that bad. don't count them out of a third appearance.

here's a convincing arguement for you: you guys kinda got "smacked" around in the region 3 premier league. 5-0 to GSA phoenix, 4-1 to CESA premier and the big 11-1 loss to CRSC Carolina select. now i know these are all good, solid teams but dont say you didnt get "smacked" when really, it was worse than smacking. you won one game and it was due to the other team forfeiting. at least TUSC(who may i remind you is from the middle) tied Tulsa SC 3-3 who made it to nationals. "They beat the Alabama state champs"....congrats, we all know how good AL soccer is...... fact is, the two best teams in TN history are from the middle(TNFC 88 and 90). TNFC 89 won state. so really liverpool was the only knoxville team to compete at regionals. middle TN soccer is better, hows that for an arguement?

tin-man, weren't you the one who thought being arrogant was a good trait? im not for sure, but i think that was you. R.O.B. for once said something complimentary and rightly so. you're obviously on the CBHS bandwagon which is fine, but the arrogant statement was hilarious. the only person arrogant on that team was the coach. and as you can see, arrogant people get what they deserve(2 straight final berths w/o a ring). i still think CBHS is a great team but BGA(as stated by midtnsportsfan)was the team that perservered. "good teams find a way to win".....

"I think that the missed offsides by BGA in overtime was what cost CBHS an undefeated season." you couldnt be more wrong. first off, he wasnt offsides. as someone already said, there was one last CBHS defender that held him onsides. second, even if he was offsides and the ref missed it that didnt cost them their undefeated season. what costed them their undefeated season was their inability to score. dont get me wrong, CBHS is a really good team but they just couldnt seem to finish. in my opinion, CBHS is a shade shy of a great team. their one flaw proved to be the deciding factor for the title.

ok tin-man, no one deserves to be arrogant. in case you didnt know, arrogance isnt exactly a great thing to have. the cbhs coach said the bga offense was "pretty good". scoring 10 goals against 2 teams they only beat 1-0 and 2-1 is outstanding in my book.

i was reading a memphis paper and the cbhs coach said that going into pk's was an unfair way to settle it, that it wasnt fair to put that much pressure on one kid. i find it funny that when they lose in pk's its unfair but when they beat MBA in pk's he thinks its a fair way to settle it. sounds like whining to me....

i agree with you when you say they won and thats all that matters. but they couldnt finish a meal today. they had shot after shot after shot after shot and couldnt "find a way" to get one. sure they found a way to win, but mba gave them a scare. congrats on a well played game by mba.

originally i was talking about bedell who is obviously in high school. i comapred him with the best keeper in his age group who just happens to be an 8th grader. fact of the matter is, bedell is not easily one of the best keepers in state. when Big Red17 said that, he is saying he is as good as, if not better than jordan leedle of bhs, the 2 MBA keepers and many more. plus he cheats off his line 15 to 20 yards when the ball is in the middle of the field.

if you read up to wat Big Red17 said about him, it says he goes to Hillwood High School.

ricky bedell.....ha! he MITE be one of the best keepers in state. i would love to see him try out for ODP '91's and see him beat out ryan bristol as the main man. dont even try to argue that he's better than bristol.
