I think it should be a great game but I think Coffee's game with Cookeville would have gone differently had Langford been at tailback.. as it would have against anyone who has played Cookeville without Langford in the backfield.

On the first penalty the announcer called it pass interference on FC. I think that is why people were confused. If that were true, the interference would have occurred before the touchdown was made.

Stop the run and cover #11, thats all you need to know.

Wow you couldn't be further from the truth. WC's offense sputtered all night and Dekalb had many chances to take advantage but couldn't against WC's Defense. I think WC deserves more credit than you might think... especially on the defensive side of the ball.

SCTribe... please get your facts straight before you post. Franklin Co was absent from the playoffs last year, it was Warren Co who lost to Riverdale in the first round not FC.

Would like to see WC play tough from start to finish. Playing against better teams can have a tendency to bring out the best in players and teams. WC is a lot better team than the one that showed up to play Coffee Co. last Thursday night. And for those who would ridicule...I don't know of many other teams out there that would say...I hope we get to play Riverdale.

I thought it was time to remind a few of the comparisons made earlier. I think it would be far reaching to expect this game to be a runaway. With all of the boasting on the Coffee Co. side I would have expected their record to be in the reverse of what we see. Overconfidence may cause problems.

WC is off this week...that is a JV game Friday.

I'm not one of the experts but I have read in other posts that T-town's Offense and Defense don't have much size or speed about them. Their strongest suite seems to be the QB and receivers. They also appear to be highly motivated.

Penalties and a missed field goal gave it to Cookeville last week. If WC is ready next week a W is possible.

Old School, there is so much truth in what you say...nothing below the belt but right at ya! You are so right about so many things. I do agree that we have some inexperience on the field but an inexperienced team without an experienced high school level head coach and staff is a recipe for disaster. And I agree that its not all of the coaching staff but it appears the ones making the decisions are also the ones without experience. Too bad..........

I'm not sure what you expect but BC had 43 & Sparta had 51, WC lists 53. So I'd say its not how many you have that matters, its what you have. Maybe you should join the recruiting efforts if you think the numbers are the problem........

What a tired and worn out excuse. The football team has had more players come out in the recent couple of years than it has in a while. What players have moved off because of jobs in WC? The football team now has those dedicated to football and those also dedicated to baseball and basketball and other sports. You can't just look to size if you are searching for talent. If you think WC has NO talent on the field you should look again.....

The biggest difference between this year and last is WC doesn't have the seniors it had last year- they were the difference- big shoes to fill, esp QB. It has taken until this year to expose how weak the team is without them. The coach doesn't always "carry" the team, sometimes the team carries the coaches.
