Devon Schmidt has quietly pitched Goodpasture to 3 state tournaments now, with 2 championships and probably 1 more on the way. Why she doesn't get more respect is beyond me! No, I'm not family or a friend, just a softball fan! Get out and watch this great pitcher next week!

Wow! I'm just an uninterested party and I certainly didn't see or hear what you are talking about. It was sad that one team had to lose because it was a great match up of two great teams, but one would think that if Camden out played them they would have won the championship. But, I do believe BOTH teams are REAL CHAMPIONS and both played with a lot of heart. Speaking of class, your comments and accusations about a bunch of teenage girls makes me wonder about you.

Very, very true! It takes all 9 and the girls on the bench too have an important role! Good luck to everyone! It'll be fun!

Goodpasture's pitcher isn't "probably one of the better pitchers in the state"-she is without a doubt one of the top 5 pitchers in TN. But again, it will take more than great pitching to win in any class in this tourney.

Goodpasture has the best pitching in 2A-no comparision. But they are young and will need to put runs on the board. Camden will be tough for them, no doubt.

There sure is a lot of jealousy on this board....seems like there's a lot of parents just pulling for their own daughters instead of being happy to see all kids having some success. Remember, this is a game for the kids, not the parents!

Why not mention the team or girls? Seems like a great accomplishment.

Please....most good high school pitcher could strike out a football player.
