  1. I asked what rational people thought about a split, not a merit system. According to you, you have started numerous threads about a merit system complete with polls and everything. IF I wanted to discuss the merit system I would find your thread and look at you poll. However, I STARTED this thread for fans who prefer a split to discuss whether that split would be total or just split for the post-season. I'll put you down as a no vote. Next!
  2. Yep. Do you? Or, do you choose to relive your thousands of posts which have led nowhere?
  3. You have posted thousands of times on this topic, haven't you, and are no nearer a solution now than you were when you started. Therefore, the only solution is to split.
  4. The split is all that will work. The question, again, is whether you keep playing each other in the regular season.
  5. Wouldn't privates playing privates, and publics playing publics, in the playoffs do the same thing and be much simpler?
  6. Then you have already discussed that option, haven't you? You are never going to answer the complaints, only create new complaints. Why not separate and cooperate?
  7. That is the type of thinking that will keep any progress from happening for years to come. Again, get over it. This setup would be better for large private schools in that they could play DII schools in the Nashville area and fill their schedules with non-region games with public schools in the Nashville area. Then their long trips to Memphis and Chattanooga would be only for the playoffs, which can happen to both public and private schools at that point in time. Get out of this us vs them mentality.
  8. I decided to start a new thread, if that is what it is called, and attempt to see where the rational people are on this board. I have been reading and watching this for 10 days or so and the only answer that makes sense for everyone is to split public-private, regardless of scholarships. The only question I would have is when you do this as to (1) do you let everyone play who they want to, outside of their regions, during the 10-game regular season and split the teams at playoff time or (2) split totally?
